2. Load up all stars on Daytona
3. Proceed to take a standard line through the first two turns
4. Rubber band your right stick straight up (full throttle)
5. Ride the wall for the rest of the race, as in no intervention by you

Lol. How long does it take to complete the race?
 
Reminds me of taping the X button in Wipeout HD to get the 99laps trophy.
 
15s of interaction once the race starts and it comes out to like 3:30 for 84,000 cr. this didn't work as well until the update, making me think they may have made walls a bit more slippery. Pre update i would coast on walls and get to a minimum 150mph but now the minimum is 170mph :D
 
are there any induros like this?

reminds of the GT3 Suzuki escudo trick.
 
You could probably do it on indy 500, run a certain number of laps and leave it. you would still have to pit every ~30
 
Easier to make 2,000,000cr (or more) in 5 minutes with the savegame exploit.

OK here it is. (I know the haters gonna hate me for this...)

If you have a million credits, 2 million, 20 million...

Save your game to a memory stick. Buy whatever super expensive car you want, do all the upgrades you want, gift it to your other account, restore your save. Go to your other account and gift the car back to yourself. Viola. You have the car but you get all your money back.

Obviously works only once a day.

You can't make "new" money this way, but you will never spend another credit so all the money you make goes in the bank, so your account just keeps going up.

Somebody had to say it. I'm not the only one that can see the obvious.

yeah, i'm more interested in getting all of the cars, so it would take quite a while using that method :(
 
2:40 secs in the x1 at gone with the wind Indy. Almost 2 mil an hour. Man you guys are all taking the LAZY way out! After Christmas, I think EVErYOnE will have an x1 with all this glitching and cloning.

I thought of doing this but was not sure how to reload the save. Can you elaborate how to do this? Thanks.
 
It may seem odd but I actually aquired the game to have fun, doing races, tune cars etc etc etc ...

Like mentioned by other members the rewards tastes sweeter when you have earned them

... with that said I did the birthday trick once just to try it and got a 2J, also got gifted a Peugeot 905 from a friend ... and I do feel like somewhat a cheat when I use them ...

... and with that said I do not in any way judge other people that B-dayed themselves to all the cars possible and now aquire funds and cars via the game save trick ...

Each player defines his own morality, just don't be surpriced if others judge you differently ;)

Others may judge me as they wish. To judge someone for how they play a video game says everything about the judgor and nothing about the judgee.

Life is much easier when you don't worry about the judgements of people who chose to judge based on how others play video games.

It doesn't matter how many cars you have or how you got them.

If I race you online and you beat me fair I will certainly not concern myself with how you may have gotten the virtual car, but simply congratulate you on out-driving me.

But if you punt me or shortcut, I will not say it's fine as long as you bought the car "fair and square".

I fell asleep doing an endurance race in GT2 in the Escudo woke after i completed 5 laps in sleep.You gotta love over powered cars.
 
I never thought about trying this trick, and tbh I can't be bothered to set up a second PSN account and start gifting cars between them. I've borrowed cars from other people and then given them back, so I'll keep on doing that instead if I need a car I don't have :)

If people want to do this cheat/trick then it's fine by me :)

Works the same if you gift between friends. You can give a car away and still have it yourself. Then they give you a car... Same idea.

Define a shortcut? Is not gifting yourself a car, a shortcut?

It seems a tad cynical of you to cry foul over something you don't like, but on the other hand you're more than willing to exploit the game when the need arises.

Honesty and integrity are their own rewards! 👍

Couldn't you sell said car and then "new money" will have been made?

yep but its hard finding a car that gives you enough sell value to make it worthwhile.

highest i have found is the f40 and thats only 135k or something.

need a list or spreadsheet of what cars have the highest resell value.

i bet the mclaren F1 would have a sale value, seeing as it costs 1 million, but I'm not sure if it can be sold

I think he meant people literally shortcutting corners while racing. And his views on that are fair enough as it affects HIS enjoyment of the game.

Nope, no car in the dealership worth a 1m+ can be sold. Not to say the same for cheaper cars. Theres tons of car you can't "sell" for just no reason I can see. Thats where a lot of funds have come from in other GTs. There should always be a few races that pay handsomly with say a clk-gtr :P 750 large.

A guy cutting corners is a guy cutting corners. It doesn't matter if it is on the track, or through the use of game exploits. The principle is the same! 👍
 
yeah that clk gtr was a nice reward in gt4 sold for like 900 thousand, and i once sold an fgt in gt4 which earned me 1.3 mil haha
