Hmm, I cant take a screen cap of a Skyline getting air born on what looks like the Ring. It very short but the way it lands looks so real :) The video is at Gamespot. Its Sony E3 trailer.

there's also a short video taken from the sony conference, it shows the capri track and a bit of the prologue intro...

AGH! Is there now a proper news article on every big game except GT4?! I need some info before I go to bed!

Patience, the lack of news for a game this big means that something real big is gonna come out before the end of E3.

Maybe the one on GT4 is so big that they haven't had time to even put it together yet.

That skyline getting airborne looked awesome.

Where is that vid you guys are talking about? With the skyline and stuff. Can somebody link me to it please?

The videos are for GameSpot paying members only, so we're a bit screwed there...

Well you can watch the streaming version

its here: http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/sports/mlb2005/media.html

About half way down, it's called Sony E3 2004 Press Conference Trailer, it has a rally car on a dirt track as the thumbnail.

You have to click on 'stream', unless you want to pay of course

looking over the gamespot pics, seems like PD havent fixed the s2000 cloth top A-pillar problem :irked:

Zero. make it into a motion gif :p. it'll be one heck of an avatar

Just got back from day 1 of E3. Of course, the first game that I played was GT4.

If there's interest (and no objections), I'd like to start a new thread discussing my observations of the game - and to see what people want to know of the game.

Lamborghini FX...Includes weapons. Need I say more?

Pass.

But if they can get the license for that, I don't see why Polyphony has so much trouble...

Maybe it's too much cash for just a couple cars, (murcielago, diablo, maybe gallardo...)

lol... I think we should enforce a "Pants On" policy from here in.

I need videos, and screenshots. I wonder if I'll even get an actual response from the IGN/GS servers, I imagine they're snowed under.

And we can finally leave the ground! How great is that!

Yo jizzmirk, you lucky bastard. How ya doin'? I hope the reason I haven't seen the thread about your impressions is because you're writing a nice, lengthy one! Looking forward to it.

And skunk, where are you? We're waiting!

Nice new info there. Thanks.

80 manufacturers going back to as early as 1886! Cool!!!

"from over 80 manufacturers, some of which no longer exist--the cars date back as far as 1886"

1886!!

That would suggest that the world's first car, (with NEARLY 1 HP, and a top speed of 10mph), the 1886 Benz Patent Motorwagen 3 Wheeler is in! :

benz1886.jpg

That would lap the Nurburgring in just under an hour and a half!

GT4 this November... can you wait a LITTLE longer for this bad boy to hit shelves (and not to mention the new steering wheel for it)? Anyhow, that 1886 deal means something. Tracing the automobile will never be as fun and as insightful as any other game. If all this holds up, let me tell you. Gran Turismo 4 might turn out to be the best racing game EVER (until GT5 comes out). You know what a good game does, folks. It means other game developers will come up with titles to try and better them. Ideas will probably consist of illegal street racing, so-so racing titles, racing games that will probably suck altogether, simulations that is the best at its genre but not to GT4 spec, or what-have-you. Can we sing a song of victory or praise for Kazunori and PD? Is there a certain victory dance to honor him or something? This game will rule.

Now, a seperate question I have is regarding special versions of Gran Turismo 4 to be at car dealers. I wonder how they will do with this GT4 package? What if you had the guts to visit a (pending confirmation) Ferrari or Maserati dealership, and you're racing Laguna Seca with a car they sell? If anyone gets any info about this, feel free to post.

Skunk just delivered us a goldmine...

As for a victory dance, I saw 24 hours around the Nurburgring is tribute enough. Anyone else?

This is so cool.Seems like some of our dreams will come true.Hope to read more soon.

God Bless PD.

Well cars going back to 1883, well does it mean that we'll be able to race them or test drive them, or is the museum mode going to be in and all we could do is read up on them and view them in 360deg views, either or would be great, even if we can't drive them i'll be glade to just read about them etc... now this isnt just a game anymore, this is more like a car library that no autmotive fan should be without...

:: Cheers for PD, SONY, the PS2, KY, all the MANUFACTURERS that are participating of course, the person who came up with CD's/DVD's, LIFE, GOD.. and the list will go on and on and on and on ... :D ::

Today's Gamespot updates seem more to be of pc news than of PS2. Hopefully the show will end with a bang, with perhaps some more news of GT4.
