I think that thread's more or less dead, wouldn't wanna gravedig...though, what Is the forum's gravedig policy, exactly?

anyway, sounds like a good deal...hopefully, we'll be able to say "DID YOU SEE THAT FUSION GO?!?!?!"

4WD can't be wrong with that amount of horsepower. It seems a good source of slightly greener performance, or at least another source of pwer from a smaller car, this time from Ford, which looks better than the Dodge Caliber SRT.

WIN!!

They need to do this with the new Taurus so they can bring back the SHO!!!

Nah, the V6 should be PLENTY enough. I could give less of a damn is the engine comes from Yamaha or not.

I somewhat doubt what torque can come from that Yamaha unit, seeing as SUVs don't need it as much as, say, a pick-up truck. The V6 will do.

The Yamaha's a small-bore/stroke engine anyway. 4.1L at best. A 3.5 V6 would have higher displacement per cylinder, which usually means more Torque.

The V6 can safely take north of 400HP in a full-production situation, anyway, and tuners will probably be able to squeeze even more out of it. Not sure how much more power the Yamaha engine can safely make.

The problem with a 400 BHP Duratec is that the GM/Ford six-speed unit it is attached to can only take about 300 BHP until things start going "kaboom." That is, unless Ford has worked some Blue-Oval magic on it...
