Edge Special Camaro Freezes Game Online

The last few times I've tried to play GT5 online and use the Edge Camaro, every time I enter the track, the game locks up with the little spinner sitting on the "Enter Course" button. Kind of makes me mad cause I'd like to use it. The game has to be quit and restarted as well. Anyone else having an issue?
 
I guess the OP doesn't remember posting in this thread on the same subject?

Back then you didn't have an issue with it. Unfortunately, the OP of that thread never posted if they got it sorted out or not, so it may still be an open issue. :boggled:
 
Only way I can think of fixing it would be redownloading it or deleting the game data and redownloading the patches and car.

This has nothing to do with that. I can't even enter the track to begin with.


EDIT: Tried and everyone black screened.


EDIT: Cannot enter practice courses either. I wonder if it has anything to do with the updated car sounds. Upon leaving the course after trying enter, the game locked up at the loading screen and exiting the game resulted in a system crash.

Yup, always. Doesn't matter online or off. Still crashes.
 
After the last update I tried to run my Edge on a practice track and system wouldn't load the car for use at the track. Tried to run it on an Aspec event (off line event) and the game loaded the first few cars for the race, but when it came to loading the Edge it just sat there spinning and would go no further.

That is EXACTLY what happeneds to me, couldn't have said it better. I tweeted it to Kaz a few days ago.
 
Mine works fine, in fact, i just did a 2hour nurburgring enduro practice race online and it worked just fine. Came in 2nd place out of 12...but thats not the point;)
 
I was able to use it until I got :indiff: and decided to crash it into a wall on Nishi-Aso (a mountain course I made in conjunction with Higashi-Aso, Kita-Aso, and Minami-Aso) because of the lame exhaust note.

Last night I tried the SS Edge in a couple full lobbies online and had no issues.

You tried it in one lobby and took 2 pictures of the same race.. (look at the opponents) ..but that's besides the point.. some people are lucky with it, if I create a new account with an empty garage I can use mine, but it seems to be the only way. People with fuller (500+ cars) seem to have a problem using it.

500+ cars and no problems. Both pictures are from the same race, never stated they were from a different race (not that pictures would prove much anyway) I just felt like posting those pictures. As stated, some have issues and some don't.

Try redownloading the Edge DLC and if that doesn't work then try reinstalling the GT5 install data and DLC both if you haven't tried already.

This may/may not help, but I've included some info on my current setup.

System: PS3 80GB (CECHLxx) with 4.20 firmware
GT5 Disc Edition: GT5 Collectors Edition
GT5 Update Version: 2.07 update (Like you I've not had any issues with the car before either)
GT5 Game Data File Size: 11GB's
GT5 Save File Size: 4.2mb's
# of GT5 Replays: 177(variable file sizes)
# of GT5 Photos: 185 (All High Res)
GT5 pre-installed main game data as well
No issues with Edge Camaro stock or fully modified online/offline.
 
Haven't had any problems with mine yet, I'll give it a spin next time I'm online though and check it out
