I was practicing there last night & spun out on the last right-hander before the tunnel. As I was skidding towards the fence on the left side of the track, 2 spectators (1 in a red shirt & the other in a black one, if I remember) cowered as real people would. I thought I was seeing things, so I went for them again & they lifted their arms in defence & turned away. PMSL! Has anyone else seen this?

I tried the same with the camera man next to them, but he just stood there giving me this blank stare... ;)

When i was doing to Grand Tour Eiger challenge.

I oversteered, understeered and overshot corners all the time and the spectator sprites braced for impact.

Last night after beating time trial there (F40 detuned) I has done a little photoshoot time... so I focus the crowd in many ocations, but what brings my atention was a detail: the is no woman in the crowd hehehe I know, motorsport is mainly (but not fully) a man's sport, but ... come on... no one pull his girlfriend to there to see the race? :D

This happens in all of the tracks that have 3D spectators, and no guardrails.
It was even apparent in GT5P Eiger.

Happens on all spectator tracks. They help me wait for the rally to start.

One looks like Eminem.

Same on La Sarthe, funnily enough I noticed it a few days ago. A friend came over and tried GT for the first time, so he slammed into the wall on the 90° right hander. I was watching and noticed those guys did that.
Nice little addition.

They belong in the kitchen It isn't safe for them to be in harm's way :sly:

^^^I know that's a joke but come on... What about D.Patrick? or S.Schmidt?

It was cooler in GT4 when they stood in the middle of the road on rally tracks until you got to close and they ran away. It looked awesome on replays :)

Edit: Hmm, maybe I was thinking of another game :(

Yeah, I remember playing on Grand Canyon and always trying to hit them, but PD outsmarted me and I could never quite get them.

I hit one once.

My car went threw him instead of making a sprite go flying.

It always happenes, if you look at any replay on Eiger, when you start the replay, the car usually starts by the second turn after the tunnel, there are 2 people that ALWAYS cower in fear when you drive by, even if its 40 mph, lol, I tried to make up a nickname for them, but I could never find a good one. :indiff:

First time rally spectators!

In GT4, the grand canyon track, they would have the spectators run out on to the track. Then get out of the way when you drive past.
There was one camera man that would wait as long as posable, totally playing chicken.
I spent a good 30 mins trying to hit the guy. Sadly it was impossible.
I should have known, it's PD not rockstar LOL.
And on a side note, his camera really had a working flash.
All about the details 👍

I remember almost hitting one on accident in the leg, just as he was running I almost got him in the leg. It was funny! :)

I think some of those spectators are just programmed to flinch when you drive by period. I tested the theory once with a Fiat 500 creeping by at walking speed and they still flinched.... perhaps at what I was driving more so then the ludicrous speed I was traveling at.

Rockstars Midnight Club Los Angeles also doesn't allow you to kill people with your car, altrough the game sometimes fails a bit in that and drives you straight trough them :sly:

LOL I think he means GTA IV :D

No, he meant Midnight Club: LA.

Off-topic: I really wish Rockstar would make the L.A in Midnight Club more accurate.

On-Topic: It's a really neat extra on how the spectator cower when you crash.

well he just said Rockstar, but this is off topic any way, but on your on topic point that is a neat feature, and especially how the flash goes off as well on the camera
