I think they want to actually calculate how much warping occurs in a given gravitational field. That way they can somehow more accurately estimate the warping around distant stars.
I havent checked out the link but are yall talking about how astronomers tell where distant planets are by looking at how the light bends....because i have this program that explains Einstein's theorys like if you shined a flashlight in a rocketship during lift-off the light would bend due to gravity...
