Hello moderators, for us, for you and for PD it would be nice I think to eliminate 40 to 60 % of all the questions posted till now. There are 12 pages * 35 topics, 390 total.

Topics/questions with less than 100 likes should be eliminated, or the question is that good and underestimated and could exists along the topics with +100 likes. Would be pleasant for the view and time I need to read all the topics (titles).

So now the staff must accommodate you because you are seemingly to lazy to read through all the topics. You say us, but I only see you complaining. Just because a subject may have less than 100 "likes" doesn't make it any less important than one that has over 100, thats for Kaz to decide when he is picking which questions he wants to answer. I highly doubt the staff is going to cater to your needs/wants in this manner.

I can see where you are coming from. But like mentioned above there is a edit button so that the threads are ordered from most to least "likes". I Have always felt the Mods have done a pretty excellent job with GTPlanet and making sure any nonsense is delt with promptly. And while i agreed with @GTP_CargoRatt , that regardless of likes, all questions are equally important. , There is definitely the handful of people that didn't make sure to read previous thread so they didn't ask a very similar Question.

All in all i wouldn't worry about Kaz not addressing a certain question because there was too many topics to go through. I think he is going to give the community enough info that everyone will have a better idea whats going on with PD and GT series.

eliminating the closed threads is a good idea
but yours is not, some good questions are not seen because lazy peoples just don't browse all the threads ...
they just look a the 10 first, not even all the ones on the first page ...already too much

And that is nobody else's problem but their own. If the individual is too lazy to search/read through the topics before creating one of their own, then thats on them and nobody else. That's like saying, "Make things easier for me because I'm too lazy." Sad, but that's what's wrong with society today. (IMHO)

Sorry @GTP_CargoRatt for my Misunderstanding. Are you agreeing with me or no? My post was supposed to be in support of what you and the other GTPposters said. Again sorry for my misreading ur post.
Because i agree with you saying everyone should take the time to go thru all of the question and not be lazy. But u can definitely see in this short period of time how many threads the Mods have locked because the question has already been ask.

Thank you BTW for all ur hard work with the TT. I have not commented to you before but i have definitely been thankful to use your tune. Especially the Mazda RX-7 and Range Rover tunes... life savers!

Shouldn't this be a thread for the GTP Feedback section and not the GT6 section? This does involve things on GTP, does it not?

Ah, we're all good my friend, no problems. And you're welcome for the tunes, glad you found them useful and thanks for the kind words.

@RACECAR Why don't you just report it and find out, no use in playing hall monitor when we have the staff to decide such things. 👍

I was hoping we could have a round robin elimination playoff actually so I'd support this idea.

Pare it down to the top 25 for example so it all fits on one page, let the creators rephrase their questions more professionaly, then let's start over with the best 25 and leave the voting open for a week.

I was only making a observative post as I usually try not to do that whenever possible. I wasn't even sure if what I suggested was correct since I have yet to come across a thread in there that had to do with something other then something involving the site software.

Gotta think outside the box. I posted that thread in the Site Support Forum (https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/board/site-support.5/) I'm in playoff mode with hockey playoffs down to the Conference Finals and a chance for the Habs to make it to the Stanley Cup, so a playoff series in GTP would be awesome to see and really stir up interest in the community. IMHO anyway...

Sounds like a noble idea and all but I just think you're trying to make too big of a production out of it. Remember K.I.S.S. ;) (And I'm not talking about the rock band.) But whatever, really makes no difference to me as long as my question gets answered. And just for the record, I really don't like being told how to phrase my question, if its within the AUP then its good enough. If you want to sound all prim and proper, then so be it, doesn't mean everyone else has to follow your guidelines. 👍

Not sure if anyone read the sticky in the Q&A forum, but it states that the questions answered will be selected from the most voted. Kaz isn't going to sift through 500 questions to find one he likes.

My only issue with the Q&A section are the number of suggestions and wants that should be in the 'suggestion' forum. Again, the sticky states that PD reviews the suggestion forum (contrary to popular belief).

I take that to mean they'll probably sort by likes and look at the first page or maybe 2, Kaz will pick those that he's most prepared to talk about, presumably ones that he has good, positive answers too. In other words, stuff that's ready to go or stuff he's excited about for GT7 and has been finalized for inclusion. If Course Maker is at the top for example but it's not finished, or worse they don't plan on getting it into GT6 at all, you can bet he won't answer that so there's bound to be some disappointment when questions near the top of the list don't get answered.

Do you really think he would avoid answering the question altogether? Like ur example, if PD has decided that course maker won't make it into GT6, do you think that he will completely avoid the question as if it wasn't asked?
Im honestly just asking. Not trying to question your statement. I would be extremely let down if some of the up voted more important questions were completely avoided. But you could be completely right.

I'm just thinking about what I'd do if I were in his shoes. First you're going to limit the number of questions, 3-5 would be ideal. Not so long it'll get boring, not so short it'll seem like you didn't give it your full attention. Then you choose the questions. The top priorities have to be those things they are working on that are ready for release so assuming a couple of features are ready to go, those questions will get top priority. I assume sounds will get a nod as well, but the answer will be they are working on it but probably won't make it until GT7, new hardware and all that.

That's perhaps 3 or 4 already. You have room for 1 or 2 more. Those I'd say will be directed towards promoting GT7. Livery editor and AI update might cover that, standards in GT7, physics etc.

So there really isn't much room IMO to cover negative stuff or things they just can't get done or aren't working on. This has to come across as positive as well so they don't want to enrage the fans by saying stuff like, "Yeah we promosed monthly DLC but we can't make it".

Well said my friend. The way you put that, i can totally see what you are saying actually happen. I almost feel now that Kaz is going to give more of a informative premeditated speech than actually Q/A on the posted topics. Im still very pleased that he is coming to say anything at all with the lack of Communication these last few months. We will see what happens.

And one thing i really wish would happen.,. Is IF anything that was said to be in GT6 is announced to be held off till GT7, That we get a reason why! i don't have to like the reason but to just state "fill-in-blank" will be held off till GT7 and not go into a little detail why, would really bummer me out.

I don't know mon but I don't like it when that Japanese smiles and deliberately gives vague answers/no answers at all.

hahaha this made me laugh. i see what ur saying.

Agreed, but I don't want anyone to think I'm saying anything negative about Kaz coming to converse with us. It's a win-win all around as far as I'm concerned no matter what he says. I just think a good deal of preparation is how things like this are done. A free-for-all just isn't the best way to approach this from his standpoint, nor ours really. I think Kaz wants to communicate with us, we've been very vocal these last few months and I think he'll have many positive things to say about the game and the future of the franchise. But anyone expecting him to come here like a gunslinger and just shoot from the hip will probably be disappointed.

There's been a lot of back and forth between members and I've seen it said countless times, "why would PD want to read these forums when everyone is so negative about the game?". My response is always the same, "You learn nothing from those that love your game and think it has no faults, and you embrace your critics and learn from them"...and now Mr. Yamauchi is coming to visit.

I agree. I think at least for the first few times, it would be wise to make sure that the information presented is concise, well written and that there's not too much of it. Don't overwhelm the guy.

Once a relationship is established, then we can look at letting it all hang out and just have him look over the entire forum. But it's only been up a week or so, and already it's huge. I wouldn't just hand that to someone and say "here, pick some questions out of this!"

You do know a Japanese smile can have a very different meaning than in your culture?

Do tell us how a Japanese smile is different to everyone else's smiles then.

Japanese will smile when feeling uneasy or embarrassed. Ask them a question they don't have an answer to (or which they haven't understood, even if their English is usually much better than your Japanese...) and you'll get a smile in return. Westerners feel routinely mocked by this, it's a classic cultural misunderstanding.

Great philosophy. But I think the primary way they learn about our likes and dislikes is through compiling and analyzing our vast amounts of gameplay data.

I believe most cultures "smile nervously", I don't think it's unique to Japanese people.

Gameplay data is important for sure, but it doesn't tell you where the passion lies or what people really love or hate about small parts of the game.

How does a question reach 100 likes if it is deleted before reaching 100 likes???

Also, I'm slightly let down by the assumed approach that Kaz will take in the Q&A forum. To me, it sounds like a lot of people are assuming this will be a one time deal? As in, Kaz will have a look, pick 5 questions, answer them. (vaguely or not), and be done with this whole process.

My hope is that he, or someone from PD, will check that thread on a somewhat regular basis - once a month, or every two months. Questions which get answered are removed, and new ones move to the top of the list. This also gives the opportunity for follow up questions.

If this does turn out to be a one time deal, it'll feel more like a slap in the face to me. Far to little, way too late.

You're already let down by an assumption? We have no idea how this will play out, try to save your disappointment for when you actually know something concrete.
