This isn't a question, but I can't find anywhere else to put it. Anyway...
I just did the new seasonals, cheated myself by not using stock, but anyway, I felt if PD couldn't be bothered with restrictions, neither could I.
So, I got to the Lotus Elise one, did a bit of tuning and added Race Hard tires (I never buy Soft) knowing this car a little from the TG Special Event I expected it to be a little skittish, but not this much with the extra power! It pulled to the left under braking, even in straight lines and even a tap on the throttle would cause MASSIVE oversteer in the corners, spun out many a time. But, my car was so superior in raw power it was still easy to win by almost half a lap.
So, when the race ended I checked the settings to see if instead of no restriction, there were no aids. All my aids were off except TC and ABS but I could change them. I must have changed it at some point for another race or a mess around, probably with the X2010.
But, anyway, it was awesome, even though it was going all over the track I was having a great time trying to control it at first and then after a couple of laps, putting it sideways around the corners myself. I think since it is so light at 750ish KG and with 350ish BHP the chassis just can't handle it, but it made it the most fun race i've actually ever had in GT5.
I think the wee elise is going to be my new mess around car for when I don't feel like having a serious race. Take it into practice and drift the whole 13 miles of Nurburg
Right before I get critised for using any aids in the first place, I'm on a DS3 and been playing since GT1 and have never been able to get the hang of using the analogue sticks and I hated having to use L2/R2 in NFS. I wouldn't want every race to be ran like this but I think i'll definitely get the wee Elise out again for a bit of fun, especially when I finally get a wheel.
Sorry for this pretty long post about nothing important. Just figured i'd let everyone know about the experience I had and maybe give it a go too if they happen to drive similar to myself on DS3.
