Races
I typically try to announce the race by the Saturday prior to the race (Thursday). The races run about three hours, lap counts are usually figured out on race day based on practice times. Racers are expected to keep things clean, minimize contact at the very least and if you are going a lap down to somebody or are off the pace do not hold others up. Races will be run with simulation settings, this means: full damage, tire wear, no driving line, no skid recovery, real grip reduction, weak slipstream, and no active steering (visible damage is off only to combat lag). We do not allow the use of TCS or ASM, but usually allow ABS (non ABS races will be announces as such).
Championships
We crown 4 quarterly championships in 12 week seasons and a yearly champion in a 4 race playoff.
Playoffs
Top 2 from each quarter who aren't already qualified will be entered into the playoffs (Last 4 weeks of the year). At the end of the 4th quarter, up to 2 wild card spots will be given based on the following criteria: 1) Total wins, 2) most podiums, 3) highest average finish for those running at least 5 races through the year. If there is a tie for the last wild card position it will be broken by: 1) # of races entered, 2) 30 minute tie breaker race at a random track in a randomly chosen car with one required pit stop. At the beginning of the playoffs points will be given to the qualifiers based on quarterly championship standings and wins. 45 Points will be awarded for each quarterly championship, 15 for finishing second in a given quarter, 5 points per race win throughout the year.
