Erm, think I've ****ed up here, 15 hours into le mans 24 hours, sign back in, "resume race?" I select no, no warnings, off I go and download the new tracks etc.
Try to resume the race, no longer there. Have I lost it ? Surely the saved file is there somewwhere

I think you've simply lost your whole proggress in that race, you should not have chosen "No" when it asked you to resume the race, since the game just interpretates that you don't want to do it anymore. Good luck for the next race :/

hmm, I was hoping that wasn't the case, you'd think there'd be a warning ? 15 hours in ! I was going to finish it this w/e, my kids are not happy !

i was going to do the same as you. thankfully the dlc was delayed for north america and i went straight to finish the 24h of nurb... guess ur out of luck bro

as for warnings, remember how long it took till they placed a warning when u pressed to quit a race? i think its the same as before, no warnings, be smart on gt5 :\

The only way to correctly save an endurance race, is this way.

Enter pit lane (At a slow speed unless you want the AI to bug out when you start the race back up)
Choose suspend race
Let the game save
A message will pop up saying it is OK for you to turn off the console
DO NOT CLICK RESUME RACE, this will cancel the save you just made
From that message back saying please turn off the console, PS button > turn off console.

When you restart GT5, you will resume the race in the same place you saved, with a 3-2-1-START! sequence, as you would a normal race.

That's the ONLY way to properly do the saving procedure. So unfortunately, the progress is lost bud. :guilty:

Yup I'd done all that, guess my annoyance is normally if you chose not to resume you get a warning, in this instance (from a restart of GT5) you don't get the warning.

Stupid of me to think otherwise, only got myself to blame

as others have said, i think you've lost your progress... bummer...

After selecting "Resume", you are taken to the pit lane, then prompted for tyres and fuel change, after that its back to the race

Its a big risk to take, "to select the no", and then go and get the DLC in my opinion.

Today i finished my 24 hours le mans, and the DLC has been the 2nd thing on my to do list.

Another user here, was in 19 hours of le mans, and also said NO to resume the race, and go to get the DLC instead... Why not wait 1-2 days to the race is over before getting the DLC ?

err yes quite, what we call "wise after the event"
My only defense is (apart from stupidty) no warning you were losing the saved data
