Haven't seen this posted, or else I'm blind.

Want to start doing the endurance races, but don't want it to be a bore fest. Anyone raced most of them, and what car did you use? I'm looking to use something with similar power, maybe a little less to make it a good fight to the finish, without winning by several laps.

:)👍

Just unlocked the first one, and i'm trying it with a Supra RZ '97 tuned to 350 HP. Gave it all the other upgrades, R1 tyres, but only stage 2 weight reduction. On S1 fell behind A LOT on the lead R34, hence i bought the R1, though i haven't started it again yet due to lack of time.

In the game. Next to where the requirements for each race are listed, it gives a HP and weight for various cars you might see in that race.

One of the two buttons on the race screen before you actually go to the race.

In the Tsukuba 4 hour event It showed cars with up to 165 hp. I entered mine at 154hp and Hard Sport Tires. My laps were a little off and I was fallign behind so after 5 laps I pitted and switched to soft sport tires. Took till lap 49 to get the lead but after that I ran away with it. With Med sport tires it might have been a pretty good race.

I see people like to use the Minolta for the endurance races, but I see that to be over kill. Right now for my first one, just like you i recently unlocked it, im going to trying with the Skyline GTR SpecV09. Hopefully that will be a fun race that aint too demanding.

The first one has some rather weak cars. I used the AEM S2000 with just an oil change and it turned out to be major overkill.

When I ran it I think an RX7 ended up placing second.

I must be blind. I have an entry requirements button next to "unrestricted" and that's it.
It's the smaller button between the restrictions and event requirements I think. Is there in the same area for sure.

I use the fastest thing possible for lap-based endurance races. For the 4-hour Roadster Challenge I used a quick car with Comfort Medium tires ready in the pits so I could practice power sliding as well as forcing my son to drive for two 30 minute shifts.

The typical opponents button is to the left of "entry requirements" and to the right of the tire requirements. It looks like the front of a car.

It just shows the cars doesn't it? The problem that I thought I had with trying to use it for the A-spec non-endurance races was it didn't give what tires they were using. I'd try running a stock car and have them pulling away from me. Then I'd try with better tires and then I would be pulling away on them. I wasn't sure what to pick to be competitive but not run away with the race.

All the AI cars in the Grand Valley 300KM use soft sports tyres. You can see the tyres the AI use in a replay if you switch to that car.

I've used a stock Skyline R34 in this race and would have won by about a minute but the NSX '90 which was the opposition chose the last last to pit on and ended up lapped somehow.

The second time I did it, I bought a new 350Z from the Nissan dealership and added medium soft tyres to it. No other changes where made except to turn off TC. Against the first default AI field, your looking at an RX-7 as you opposition. It only pits once on lap 30. I pitted every 12 laps and after my last stop on lap 48 the RX-7 regained the lead but he was easy meat to catch and beat and I opened up a good 30 seconds advantage by the end.

I'm now looking for a slightly slower car to do it again.

Here ya go. Proof my game hates me.

Must have been part of one of the updates. I thought it was there from the beginning for me, but maybe it was that 130 kb release day patch that brought the button.

That's really strange. It's a great button, really.

I just discovered that if you entered the FGT with a higher gear setting into the Indy 500 it is not much of a race but it doesn't take as long :)

Just finished the Grand Valley 300k with a winning margin of .610 of a second. Man that was intense. Thanks guys. 👍

The tyres they use will show in B-spec mode. This hasn't been a problem for me since I leveled B-spec higher from the start. They should have made tyre restrictions in A-spec aswell..
