Endurance races

In the 4, 9 and 24 hour endurance races can you quit once you have a large enough lead that the field cant mathematically make up the time to catch up to how many laps ahead you are?
 
No, because you have to cross the finish line after the time is up.
 
You can just park along side of the track till the end of the race.

Yep, parking FTW.

Take Tsukuba 9h for example. After doing 5-6 hours of racing with an x2010, you can let it sit for a good 3 hours before coming back to cross the finish line =D
