here is a great way to make those long tiring Endoros feel shorter. in Super speed way play games. use the cones. Try to get them around the track. or try hitting them in to the pit area. it foceses ur attention to that instead of the track. on the others just think about other things. like what u plan on doin later or about well any thing other than the race. even though u dont think ull be able to make all the turns it will be more of a Autamatic thing. i started to drift away in Tokyo but i finish about 11 laps ahead of the second place car and i didnt even remember most of the race. :D Before u know it 'ull be done with it. try ur own tricks and put them here.

im the same way... in super speedway it takes me about an hr all i do is get the escudo and just hold the gas after a while i will only half turn and just bounce off the walls i still win and its easier and i love to play games with those cones lol

I usually try to find a car I really enjoy driving, and then use it in an endurance race. In an endurance race I often find myself trying to improve my lap time over and over.

Yes... I'm with Jonik. If you're running eleventeen laps ahead of the opposition, try using something that isn't an F1 car (just a suggestion).

I enjoy the enduros more than almost any other part of the game (PD Cup is right up there with it). The Trial Mountain 2 hours is my absolute favourite.

My number 1 tip for the enduros is to NOT slap on T2s and drive as long as possible, but to test tyres during qualfying, project the time/distance (depending on whether it's laps or 2 hours) and calculate pit stops properly. On the Trial 2hrs you should be pitting every 15-20 minutes (so that you run 5 or 6 complete stints, and aren't running optimised tyres when you finish).

I'm with Famine. Racing the clock can get old quickly. Try running a competitve car. Tokyo R246 in a Stock JGTC car certainly makes the drive more interesting.

I'd be real interested in hearing your tips on the Roadster Enduro, Formula1racer.

I love moving the cones around during enduros. ^_^ I also like spinning out and doing weird kinds of stunts after I'm a while ahead of the competition.

I just try to beat my lap times if I am way ahead of the pack in Endurace Races, which is usually the case. I look at what my best lap time is then try beating it on that lap or the next lap. That is the only thing I do in Endurance Races when I get far ahead.

After about lap 10 or 15 I do occassionally lose focus. I'll start thinking about something else and then come back to my senses 3 laps later, without losing any time. The problem with enduros is that close races are hard to have...who wants to run a 2 hour race and risk losing? Messing with lap cars, testing new lines, and trying helplessly to drift are my ways of not spacing out completely.

Actually, I'd like to add at this point, once you've worked out a pitting strategy, DON'T change it...

I just did the Trial Mountain 2 hours (again). I worked out a 20 minute pit strategy, but I felt the car still had two laps left and went for a 22.5 minute strategy.

Of course, 120 isn't directly divisible by 22.5, but I was racing at the time and didn't notice... So I had to do a "splash & dash" at 1:45' to make it to the end of the race. Very nearly ruined the record attempt, but I did succeed (just).

TS020 Road Car, 92 laps, 2:00'10.187s - could have had 94 laps if I hadn't changed my mind... Muppet.

I lose all concentration while racing (sometimes even the 2 lap Beginner races:D )...and at the end of the race I can't remember what happened during the race...
But I do this all the time, like when I walk to a friends house I lose concentration and by the time I get there I forget about the walk there...it's weird sometimes :p

Actually, I find the endurance races a good way to learn the tracks and to prepare for a few of the S license tests.

No, for Super Speedway, you use the rubberband trick and go off to do something else.

As for the other endurance races, I pause the game half way through then go do something else. Come back and finish it off.

Cheater.:odd:

omg I thought I was the only one who screwed around with the cones

what I also do is try to set new records and preserve the tires for as long as possible and I take a break in the middle of the race.

after a while I enter a kind of a trance and don't even have to concentrate much as I do everything without any thinking and my mind goes off thinking about other crap.

I did the Super Speedway enduro properly before I used the rubber band trick...but the Rome 2 hours was fun knocking the cones around everywhere...I haven't done any enduro except for Super Speedway more than once.

If you're only doing the race for the money, using a greatly overpowered car, after you lap the competition a few times, you can attempt to "rearrange" the field. The AI cars follow each other in a set order, and very rarely do they attempt to over take each other. If you've lapped all the AI cars a few times, crash into them and try to change their order by pushing the 2nd placed car into the walls until the other AI cars overtake it, etc.

Or you could try doing a lap with your eyes closed... obviously not on Super Speedway though, something a bit more challenging.

Well I try to atleast play right, meaning run a car that is with the rest of them in the enduro I'm racing. Racing and overpowered car on an underpowered squad is no fun. TIRE WEAR. It is critical. Always run soft rears, and hard fronts. I generally run super-slicks in the front and medium-slicks in the back. They wear evenly, and work out to be great. In my enduro the cobra was the fastest car, but he pitted about 15 more times than I did, so I lapped that boy!

i love enduros (when i don't have anything to do i just go race one). i play with the cones too (thought i was the only one). But to me the best enduro is the roadster enduro much more challenging to me (i try to do the other enduros with average cars but i either begin to kick out or i fall way behind, with the roadster enduro its an even playing field)

Abraham Gorilla, yeah, I often do that in the series races when I want to skip a few later races, I have to reorganise the competition...:trouble:

vings endurance tip No.2 don't drive with your nose.
What u actually did that i thought i went crazy when i started driving with my feet. i also never knew so many people played with the cones and zoned out as much as i do. :D
