Never !!
I've played 3 enduros now and still an F1 is eluding me. It gets annoying but at least the cars I received were useful.Does anyone else get ticked off at racing for over an hour and not getting what they want?:banghead:

Yeah and another thing is that I'm starting to get doubles e.g.I now have 2 spoon s2000s:mad: and 2 high end skylines(no graphics).

I don't get ticked, I run enduros even after I have gotten all the prize cars and all the money I need, they're just fun.

And just hang in there, if you take home gold on all enduros you're garunteed the second best F1 car in the game.:D

If you really want an FI go to one of the Professional championship which offers an F1 (PD cup is one) save at race nine and reload until it pops out.

...whaich is one of the easiest ways of doing things

Assuming that the Enduro's are the last to do, you'll get at least 2 for finishing the Enduro's/100% in any case, so dont worry about it

And some are! I love enduros.
Do the save/reload trick if you're getting irritated.
This will only work with a series race, though, like the Pro PD Cup. Which is a great series, anyway, and fun to run for it's own sake.

demon, don't worry that you haven't gotten an F1 car yet. I was well over 70% before I got one. You won't need it until the end anyway, and using it in races other than the Formula GT takes all the sport out of the game, for me anyway.

Besides, if you run the Formula GT series last thing, after you've completed everything else, you can get the "fourpeat" prize award: 4 F1 prize cars in one sitting, for the FGT, completion of Pro level, completion of Simulation mode, and 100% completion.

On the subject of enduros and prizes: I no longer get ticked off about racing for over an hour and not getting what I want because I figured out that I was really racing for over an hour because I wanted to be racing. All the rest of that stuff is just monopoly money and such. :D Aside from that, like neon_duke says, in the game, the F1 cars are only really fun in the F1 races. Even there, after you figure out how to set up the car and drive it properly... Well, I would just say that if you really want competition, you'll need to do some OLR racing.

I guess what I'm saying is you are right... the cars you are winning are in fact "more" useful than the F1 cars.

That sucks that you ruined your game. How much enjoyment did you get from beating road cars in an F1?

They should've left the F1's out of the game.

It is Gran Turismo, after all.

Gran Turismo as in Grand Touring, not Formula 1.

The only reason I'm trying to get the F1 cars is for collective purposes.

Did the Tokyo Enduro in the Tom's Supra the other day, just for the sheer hell of it, almost 2 and a half and I got an all black Poly001 (FO94/s) out of it as well:D

It also gave me 6,000km's total on that particular car as well

EDIT: Enduro's are great fun as neon_duke said but if you really want some insane kind of Enduro, look in my sig...

What about Rally then?

I think they were a natural expansion for the game. When most people think of fast cars, F1's at the top of the list.

Why does everyone hate the F1's? I love them! They make the game less of a challenge, which is exactly why I love them, more challenge = less fun, and no fun makes a video game pointless and worthless.

F1s = no challenge = no fun.

Speaking of pointless, what's the point in sightseeing around the same boring tracks hundreds of times, as you easily lap the field in a car many times more powerful and better handling?

More challenge = more fun, or else there is no point in playing the game at all.

Somebody tell me this is "tongue in cheek" It has to be...

I thought that too, my first time thru the game. (Unless you're being completely sarcastic)
Then I got an AR-MAX and could for all intents and purposes "conjure" up an F1 and a variety of the "good cars"...BORING!!!

Then I got involved with some really skillful racers. (They know who they are) We talk about set-up, technique, and we drive for the sake of improving our driving skill.
You want to be truly disgusted about how fast you think you are in an F1. Go to one of the Sites where the guys are all about times. Like GT3 Times or Racing Line.
These are places where you'll see the names Sough, Famine, MR Pand J Schumacher come up a lot. When you can run withing 3 seconds of these guys you can be thought of as fast.
Until that time you are cheating yourself of the real enjoyment of this game.

For true enjoyment, and high "pucker-factor" try the Type R races in a mildly tuned Civic Type R.
Hit the Rome enduro in a mildly tuned MR-S.
Take the Roadster Enduro in one of the "lesser" Miatas.
Winning by laps and laps means nothing, and gets boring really quickly.
For the adrenaline rush, a race that is won by less than 2 or 3 seconds...two or three seconds that have been hard fought for 10-40 laps is the ticket. You won't be falling asleep during one of those.

Play the game your own way, of course. But why bother to play it if you just want to guarantee massive wins by blowing the competition totally out of the water?

If you don't have fun racing, what's the point in playing at all? I'm not being a smartass; I'm really confused.

That's just it, I want to have fun Racing, not getting frusterated over a loss. Hell even when I'm 5 laps ahead I get really mad and throw my DS2 if I so much as hit a wall or spin.

You need anger management help, then. If I had a 5-lap lead in any race I don't think I'd bother finishing it because it was too boring, let alone being so upset I threw the controller when I made a mistake. I'd try it again with half the horsepower and see how it went from there.

Racing is only racing if there's a possibility you'll lose. Otherwise, it's just driving around the track - which is fun in itself, sometimes, but isn't racing.

Neon I think you have stumbled upon the reason why PD called it "The Real Driving Simulator". :)

Heero sounds like me except it takes 3 hours of trying and trying to gold a licence test to get a rise out of me. Like Duke said,it becomes to tedious to even play if you are 5 laps ahead of everybody.I would rather exchange sign language and positions for the win than just blow them out of the water.
