So I bought an Option Stream Z, and I had been doing engine overhaul now to every single car I've gotten out of the used car lot (god knows what virtual monster had been driving them previously, right?). So, naturally I overhauled the engine. Now, I bought another one with nearly the same km on it (one is roughly 1300, one is 1500, bought in that order) and I wanted to see what would happen if I just changed the oil (if you must know why, I was mostly curious about the Performance Points, because if an oil change had less PP, it would have been around 600 which would be sweet). Anyways, so I changed the oil on the new one and I had read somewhere that the car will be in peak performance from 1000~3500km and then slowly start losing HP eventually after that- which I have seen happen on my ABT Audi TT-R Touring Car '02, which I overhauled recently to see if the horsepower would return to its maximum and it did not.. -500,000c. Sure enough after the oil change both Option Stream Z's show 796 bhp, 603 PP. So I'm wondering what is the point of Engine Overhaul really? I do remember one time my Viper SRT10 ACR would drop horsepower like mad every single race even after oil changing and I had that overhauled and the horsepower would steadily decline in a little more linear fashion than the huge gobs of horsepower it was losing prior, so it seems like it worked then but I'm not entirely sure why.. (getting it back from my brother may have something to do with it >.>).
Anyone know when the engine actually needs this feature? I have probably spent like 10m+ on this.. luckily, some cars (the 500k overhaul ones especially) I had been just changing oil (>4000km) anyways so..?? Also for that matter chassis repair? I have never needed this.. and I bought it once and it didn't seem to do much at all.
If you have any experience with what these might do just share your thoughts.. I want to get to the bottom of this.
