I looked around a bit, but nothing came up (maybe just searched wrong, or it doesn't exist...)

So I was wondering, is there an engine rebuild/overhaul option somewhere in GT4?

Sorry for the newbie question. (It's my first post, don't kill me! :nervous:)

Nope. The most you can do is give your car an oil change. Which should return some of the horsepower you've lost.

Well if there was an engine rebuild, don't you think it would've been in the "read before posting" or search results?

Yeah but only certain Civics and Skylines, and maybe a few other cars can utilize that option.

That never made any sense to me either, why are you able to refresh the chassis, but you can't do anything about the engine losing power.

I agree. Old oil is just one facet of many things that can go wrong with a car, so it seems silly to include that one variable but ignore all the others.

or maybe I should just shut up and buy Forza Motorsport or ToCA :dunce: if I want a more realistic car-maintenance experience. :D

I smell a potential later-run downloadable add-on for GT5...

Gran Turismo 5 patched v.2.007... The Real Wrenching Simulator.

Yeah I thought it would be in the FAQ type thing, and yes I did search... however when I didn't find it I thought, "Well maybe I'm just a super newbcake and everyone else found it right off."

But anyways thanks to everybody for setting me straight, much appreciated.
