Engine Tuning glitch?

I'm tuning a Cappuccino RM to give to a friend, but I'm having a strange problem. I already have stage 1 installed, so I try to buy stage two. However, when I do it tells me that I need to install them in the correct order. I go back to check, and it still tells me that I have stage 1 installed. Anybody know what's up with this?

On your 'My Home' screen, go to your 'Items' button and see if you have any parts that have been 'uninstalled' that require you to re-install them. I think this happens if you've previously upgraded a car then RM it after. Don't quote me on this.
