Maybe but I'd still probably beat you Aussies on this forum on my bike.

I pulled 67mph downhill on a two mile 28% hill on my racing bike, passing cars all the way.

Yeehaa!

we in aus dont take soccer as serious as you guys do

Well it's not just us, it's most of Europe and a fair amount of the rest of the world who take it seriously. Although you must be fairly serious about it because there are quite a few Aussie football players in our premier leauge.

Just incase people are reading this thread and thinking wtf...

its not just about who is the better country...its about the finla of the rugby world cup...between Aus and Eng.....held in Aus and kicks off at 9am (UK time) this saturday....

its a big game with a LOT of national pride at stake.....both believe they are the best....both believe they are the strongest....but someone will go home in tears...

aussies take football (aussie rules not soccer) and cricket more serious than soccer, but still there is alot of aussies that like soccer

I think it would be nice to win the RWC and it seems like we have a definite chance, but so do Australia. I'm only going to be dissapointed with England if we loose because we played poorly. If we lose, but we put on a good show I won't.

I guess generally England do suck at most sports.
But since when was Australia better at 'soccer'?
And can't you call it football?

football is rugby league if you live in queensland, ACT or new south wales. football is aussie rules if you like in victoria, south or western australia

Eh I dont really care Im not much of a rugby fan and at least australias winning the car racing(Bathurst 24 hour!)

bastad....we'll never hear the end of it..the english ar ethe worst winners in the world...

you know that during the aus game they mentioned 1966 29 seperate times....

and thats a different sport!

we'll england rarely wins...let themhave thier glory...

we still beat you in the rugby.................LEAGUE

did anyone else watch the game or was it just me?

5 mins to go australia was behind 12-6, and we won 18-12 thanks to darren lockyer brilliance

OH Great!

Now the rugby world will never hear the end of it :grumpy:

Face it, Wilkinson won the cup. If any other team had had him they would have won.

Lousy poms

Lousy Poms indeed. If the Aussies had done the job properly on Wilkinson the first time, he could've been sitting in the ambulance come the 9th minute of extra time! :grumpy:

But hey - I'm not complaining. Two cups to Australia, a finals appearance in 3, and they'll win in 2007!

That's not me being cocky, that's me looking at the stats - a win in 1991, a win in 1999, spaced over 3 World Cups. Going by that they'll win in 2007. ;)

I know, i was cheerinng like a pygmie when Wilki was laid out like a drunk sloth there in the first half. And when Kay dropped the ball over the tryline -

That was pure gold! I "laughed like a pygmie" as you say, when he dropped the ball.

Wasn't so funny when that Aussie player (whose name I forget) dropped the ball on the outside wing going up for a certain try, in what, the 2nd minute?

BOOYAH!
OH WOW! ARE YOU PROUD? WE KICK YOUR ARSE IN EVERY OTHER SPORT WE JUST HAD TO GIFT THE CUP TO YOU SO WE WOULDN'T FEEL GUILTY KICKING YOUR ARSE AGAIN!

That said, Elton Flatley could've been a little more accurate in the first half. The way I see it, if he'd gotten those two goals that he missed we'd've won 23-20. :grumpy:

It was Tuqiri who dropped an average pass from Rogers.
