I know I,m an old guy, and this is my first post after 2 years of watching what is going on with this site. I want to give my opinion of what is going on, please listen if you can. I was young in the 50,s and 60,s and my heros where the Nascar and indy champions of the era, and I wished so much I could drive a car in any race. Never happened until GT5 came about and in the last 2 years I have played it every day that I could because it,s as good as I think driving a real car on a course could be. I have done the NASCAR experience which was wonderful and that was as close as I,ll ever get to racing a real track, but I want everyone to know that GT 5 is a close second to the real experience. This is a great product, but not real, its just a game, enjoy the game.

I think he has a great point.

No, it isn't perfect in many ways. It's not exactly like real life.

But just a short while ago, none of this was even possible. There was no way for people to race any of 1,000 cars on a variety of fantasy and real world tracks. It's incredible that we've made such a thing in our society. Even if it has flaws, it truly is amazing.

20 years ago, there would be nothing except for a few 2D arcade-styled games. Today though, we have sim racing wheels like G27's, T500RS's, and so much more in the simware department. In game we have weather, time cycles, and so much more. I think that sometimes we should just put the flaws aside and just enjoy GT5 for how amazing it really is.

In my opinion the great parts far outweigh the flaws I think GT5 is the best racing game out until GT6 comes out.

I'm 65 & have played GT since day 1. Your assessment of GT5 is spot on Grandpa. 👍 Online racing with good friends has given me hours & hours of fun. :) Looking forward to GT6. 👍

Seems the GT5 community gets older...

Extremely excited - turns controller to turn car.

Stopped turning controller because he learned how to turn with buttons only.
But he still bites his lower lip. Some things never change.
(Buddy on the right side seems to be cool as ice.)

Funny how people argue about details of a randomly picked picture and ignore the message/question behind.

I'm just saying.

Anyways, let's get back on topic! :)

For me, I'd say it's a 50/50 balance of young and old age. 👍
