I just played through Enter the Matrix ... since I just got it ... but did it on the easy setting because I don't normally play these types of games (much). Now I'm playing it on "normal" but the directional arrow (the one that helps you to not get lost, particularly when you're being chased by a million or so Smiths) has gone. Is this normal? Is the arrow only there in easy mode? It did come back for about 20 seconds in the post-office ... but that was just running back upstairs (nothing I needed the arrow for anyway) ... and then it vanished again.

Do you think I've got a bad disc?

Great game though ... and since finishing it the first time I've found some very nifty cheats (the sword rocks) .....
 
No, it's probably not just your disc. All versions of Enter the Matrix are full of bugs. I have the pc version and there are many bugs in it.
 
Damn. Oh well ... thanks for that bit of info ... at least that's the only bug I've found so far. Come to think of it - a couple of the effects files don't work - but I can't say that I've really noticed their absence (mostly just particle FX) .....
