Hello guys, my first post, and it's not even about GT4. :)

But I had to pass this on - this video looks amazing and, at least graphically, seems that this game could give GT4 a run for its' money. Also, the physics seem spot on.

Check it out:

Go to "E3" section and choose "E3 Movie".

Cheers.

Wow!

I confess I was sceptic, but that actually looks pretty damn amazing!

The way I see it, some serious competition wouldn't be bad.
I also like Konami a lot.

By the way, welcome. ;)

Hum, apparently that game has been already talked about in this very forum. Sorry.

Yugo45GT, use the search feature and you'll find more info.

Shouldn't this topic be in "Gaming in General" or something?

I think this game will rival with Gran Turismo, but will fall short. Only thing the game DOES have, however, is SUVs to race, and even racing in the desert. Right now, it seems like Forza Motorsport vs. Gran Turismo 4. But GT4 is battling with (and will win as a no-contest) PGR2. FM is to be released probably next year, but GT4 and PGR2 is the battle right now. And so far, PGR2 is starting to say a little prayer because it may get bested by GT4.

But, don't be surprised if this thread ends up in the "Gaming in General" thread, or with some other related Gaming category.

Yes Enthusia does have SUV's racing in the desert, but it also has Nurburgring, or a few corners that are very similar, RUF's istead of/ as well Porsche, and a visual gravity system, that measures G forces. Now doesn't that all sound familiar?

Apart from the SUV's in the desert.

Somebody posted a link to kikizo.com yesterday, and I download GT4, Forza Motorsport, and Enthusia Racing videos. They are all looking pretty similar. GT4 is the nicest looking game, which is all we can measure them on at the moment, but I have to say Forza Motorsport's Laguna Seca looked better than the GT3 version to me. And with the added bonus of a Corvette getting wrecked.:) Yes, Forza Motorsport has damage. Enthusia Racing has the first glipse of the Mercedes SLR McLaren, at what looked like the Nurburgring.

They all seem to be overlapping each other.

So much to look forward, I hope they're all great.

Welcome to GTPlanet Yugo.

As the thread starter, you actually have the ability to move this thread if you look in the bottom right hand corner of your browser window.

Don't forget to use the Search function in future, and thanks for the link.

John, PGR2 has never been against GT4, it's been out for 6 MONTHS!!! I don't see how you can call em rivals tbh. I mean GT4 isn't out for like another 6 months anyway, so it's like a year after pgr2 lol

Forza and GT4, oh yes :)

Honestly, that is the first racing game I've seen that looks somewhere close to the GT series.Wonder what the physics will feel like?

It does look pretty impressive. Fingers crossed.

I think John made the association because a lot of people have hyped PGR2 as a "GT Killer".

.:( :( no fair, they got the slr b4 pd did. maybe pd are holdong back the slr and other exotics until 1/2-1 month before the release. i mean, we've got less than 5 months to go until we get the finished product in our PS2s, so PD must surely have loads of things for gt4 that they arent telling us just yet. on the subject of the game, though, i have to agree, this game does look very good, graphically, and gt4 could have a VERY strong rival in E:PR. no wonder the graphics are so good, coming form konami. they must have taken some of the technology for the graphics of games such like mgs3 and used it to make a racing game worthy of competing at the top with gt4, fm, pgr2, trd2, etc. lets just hope that the gameplay can live up to the quality of the graphics and not become a slum like driving emotion type s (that game was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO crap, even though it did have ferrari!!!) all the best to konami and to Enthusia: Performance Racing!!!👍

Man when i saw the New Mitsubishi Rally car in the desert i thought that it was a real life dakar video, but when i realized that it was ingame, I flipped:eek: This game looks as good as GT4 in many areas, and Nurburgring is looking nearly the same as in GT4, even the car models look the same. I can't wait for both games now, Enthusia is going to be like a very big expansion to GT4 to me, with dakar racing and the Mercedes SLR (that is if GT4 doesn't have it already) :O

Hello all, and thanks for the welcome.

The thread has now been moved. Just thought that you guys might like to see it, seeing how we're all racing game enthusiasts in general.

Cheers

The more simulation competition there is for GT4 on consoles the better.

If these two and Forza keep pushing each other to the limit we should see some amazing 'simulations' in the future.

The Physics look amazing. I especialy love the movments of the SUV's especially when they land coming off the jumps. The movement of the Skyline looked amazing as well, maybe (dare I say it) better than GT3.

one problem down, 1 to go-

the video wont load! ugh. i hate java.... i click the buttons and nothinf happens, just a click form windows...:banghead:

I'm gonna go ahead and say it.The cars look better then those from GT 4 Prologue. The physics look very impressive aswell.

I don't have GT4P (darn PD and their irrational hatred of North American market) :) , so I can't really compare the look of the two games, but from the videos of GT4 that I've seen, Enthusia looks to be on par with GT4. Also, from this video it seems they will have Nurburgring as well, which can only be a good thing. I think that they will fall short of GT4 simply because they cannot match the sheer number of cars that GT4 will have. That is not to say that it will not be a great game on its' own merit.

Here's hoping.

Cheers

physics of enthusia, and that is from a visual point of view, should be superb. if you look at the cars when they corner and when they ride the banks you can see the way that the tires are behaving thus giving and idea how close the physics of that game can be as close to real life. and the major thing that is going for this game is the vastness of it, bear in mind we only saw one car per shot.
as for PGR2, i own an x-box and i did not even bother renting that game, so please guys don't compare racing gems to the crappy X-Box racing games.
as for gt4 prologue which i also own a copy:D , what we have right now is not the final copy or even a demo of the final game. meaning that changes will be made. did you know that gt4 prologue in korea is different in content than the japanese version and the same thing goes to the one being released in europe.

must not slap rallyF1...

i still dont understand what part of arcade game people like this don't understand, I mean it's a simple concept :P

Thems fighin words, eh code? My theory is that the only people who rag on PGR2 are: a) people who have never played the game, b) people who don't like having fun, c) idiots, or d) hate playing games for consoles they didn't buy first (you can slot these into category c).

Back to enthusia, just watched the trailer, jaw hit the floor. Upstart game studios are really gonna make PD work hard for their money (not that they didnt already). No more monopolies on the gt sim category. Much more impressive stuff than what I've seen so far from Forza motorsports. On the other hand, Forza is still an extremely early build.

Enthusia looks great, the way the car moves... just like gt3. and the graphics are gt3.5-ish, I wouldn't mind playing two damn good racing games with my new DFP!!! I hope it has 900* support.. :D

I talked to a Konami/Enthusia rep about the Momo steering wheels that they were using with the game. These things were pretty cool - probably the best feature was the wheel size. Its wheel was closer to standard size than the Logitech GTFP and it touted 900 degree steering.

Sadly, the rep only mention that the floor model was still a prototype and that it likely that it'll only be released in Japan

Was it me, or was there only "replay" vids of the game? I mean - that's cool and all, but I'd really like to see some in-cam footage and stuff.

Wow - another game with 4,000 different Skylines in ti? :)

Looks pretty cool though. I try to buy racing games that are getting decent reviews and look fairly good. Gotta support the genre somehow, I guess!

That was an awesome video, as everyone's said before the way the cars move looks bloody realistic. I don't even think it looks that good in GT4:P and videos of GT4 i've seen, the Ring also looked slightly more detailed to me as well. And the SLR  looks to be shaping up nicely, lets just hope the car physics are up to scratch and we'll have a game to rival GT.

So all this means is Konami is only the publisher. So someone like EA can pick it up for US Playstations.

I'm glad someone is finally challenging the GT throne....... The GT series has been going strong for a good long time, and there really hasn't been anything that directly challenged it.........

As people have said before, the physics look absolutely fantastic. The graphics (car model/terain) are also quite good, but I would not say they are better then GT4's graphics. If you look closely, you can see that the reflections aren't quite as good........

I will be buying this game as soon as it is realised, and no mistake..... I mean, I bought R-Racing Evolution as soon as it came out, and while the physics take some getting used to, it still is an entertaining game. I also bought Auto Modelista when it first came out, but we'll not talk about that........

;)
