yes honestly, when i watched that enthusia video side by side with computer graphics miata and real miata, it's really hard to notice which is the real world car
and the movement of the car is so real

Ok, it certainly got great potential. Doesn't look quite as good as GT4. But if it handles well...then that's what really matters right? I'm looking forward to see what this one is going to do.

I just noticed that the SLR has a fully working air brake !!!!!

thats just the motorized rear spoiler isnt it? like the beetle, and porsche it raises and lowers itself at different speeds for stability purposes.

It looks awesome. For a moment there i though it looked better then GT4 but just for a moment.Guess i'll have to save up for this one aswell.Hmm,let's see:GTA SA,MGS3,AC05,GT4,T5 and now this one is added to the list. There goes €360.

Kin notice it only activates when the car is braking or slowing down, I remember seeing it on the top gear test track.

Just a lil backup ;)

"In addition to the ceramic composite disc rotors, Mercedes have also added an air brake to help bring the SLR back to more pedestrian speeds from velocities more associated with aircraft. The air brake is integrated into the boot lid and raises to an angle of 65° when activated by heavy braking. The air brake in combination with the ceramic composite discs will decelerate the SLR to a stop at a staggering 1.3 G."

now that is cool.

that would make your eyes bleed though.

What's interesting about enthusia, is that they followed an Le Mans Audi R8 team to learn about the car, it's sounds and also the way cars work at their extremes. Could this also hint at Le Mans being in the game itself?

Team Goh and enthusia

The team won this year’s Le Mans 24 hour race. This was the first time for a privately owned Japanese team to accomplish such an incredible feat. Chief producer of Enthusia, Manabu Akita, also a part of the team staff, has been developing a simulation system based on data gathered from Team Goh’s race car. Manabu will apply this simulation system used for the races in Enthusia which is currently being developed. This system takes a whole new different approach unlike the existing race games that feature physics systems that are created without concrete background.
Technologies tested and developed under most extreme situations, such as racing often have been applied to commercial vehicles and delivered consumers confidence. Likewise, featuring such simulation system proven in real racing by real racers, Enthusia aims to become the next generation racing game, expressing realism and dynamics that have never been achieved before in any existing simulation racing games.

Gathering data from the Audi R8

Unlike normal cars, race cars are designed to operate at extreme limits of their specifications. The car behaviors differ from driving a normal one, and this is can particularly be a concern when it comes to racing games. Because this is a video game, providing players with simpler control may be one method, but Enthusia has taken a different approach. In order to provide players the true enjoyment of driving a car, the team gathered data from driving the Audi R8 and developed a simulator recreating the car’s behavior at extreme limits.

Konami knows how to make games look great. Look at the newest version of metal gear, it's awesome. wether or not they make a great racing game is yet to be seen but it looks like they might have stumbled across some guys who are interested in giving GT4 a little comp. I personally don't give a hoot about beautiful back grounds ect. It's all about car physics and competition. I am stoked about seeing them using a wheel and it obviously supports the full turning radius that GTP and GT4 has incorporated in their games. Does any one know if it supports online or how many cars will be on the track at once? 👍

What about an incar veiw? any one got the specs for this game? I wished some one would make a game support many different steering wheel manufacturers. I like Logi, but an act labs with a gated 6 spd would be awesome!

Well..... anyone know anything on this title?

I did notice a new wheel in one of the videos, it was not a Logitech wheel, and it seemed to have 900 degrees or more.

Damn I love the physics showed in this title, especially the 2 'Dakar Rally' vehicles racing side by side and the Skyline shifting it's weight. I also really like the lighting in this also, as the light at the moment seems independent as it only hits certain areas of the car through trees and buildings leaving the rest in shadow. Also in the desert sand sequences you can see tire tracks and I'm pretty sure I see the SLR leaving a bit of rubber right at the end of the vid as it crosses the line.

PS I see no mention of this only being published by Konami, everywhere says it's being developed by KCEi.

Yep, looking better and better. comes out in November right?
