I heard that many people say in these Forums that Enzo Ferrari isn't really that good and that it's only good at straights. Is this true, what do you guys/gals think, is the Enzo Ferrari worth the purchase?

I think its definitely worth it. I bought it and tried it out on Laguna Seca and it handles the alright, my only gripe is the crappy brakes. Besides that it is a great car to drive if you have good throttle control and a little patience.

Yep, buy it.

Once you have a decent setup, car is beast - I think it's actually pretty easy to drive given the horsepower it has - cockpit view is killer too, and if you keep the exhaust stock, it sounds awesome.

Oh and photo mode : )

It's okay. As the other said, it's not the best handling car, but it sounds great and is really fast. I bought mine, but have only driven it like 2 times, I'm not impressed. The Lambo SV is a much better car, and cheaper!

It is a must have for Ferrari collection, looks and sounds cool, but like you said, the car is not so nice to do some serious racing.

Might as well buy it, I hope it's a true driving machine and challenging to drive in the Nurburgring (also known as green hell !!) with all driving aids off apart from ABS.

its great in the right hands, it does need some tweaking, you dont need to know a lot about suspension there are some very good tunes available from the tuners page here

the sp1 is my favourite though

That car is a beast, kinda like a untamed lion. It's fast but around the corners it's terrible. The only solution other then fine tuning is between the couch and the controller. Mine is in matte dark red.

I took the plunge and bought one a few days ago. Surprising (and perplexing) amounts of understeer for a mid-engined car, especially as compared to the 458 and F430. It's more of a trophy car than anything.

Thanks to the 3x payout for seasonals I have more credits than I know what to do with and so have been picking off the expensive-but-flawed premiums like the Enzo. Pretty much needs a tune to be even moderately enjoyable. Without one it turns like a brick.

I'd buy it. Spent the credits and never looked back. Was one of my first "supercars" and had no idea some people were not fond of it until recently. Get a decent tune and this car is unstoppable.

IMO this car is great if your a decent driver.
You will need to tune it though.
It's also really good on straights, it's light and once broken-in it has just over 900hp.

In the current climate were you can win loads of credits in seasonalls I would say all cars are worth buying at the moment and definately the enzo.

Yes. The Enzo is fantastic. It has a lot of wheelspin, but it's still worth it. And if you buy it, DO NOT BUY RACING EXHAUST. It sounds terrible. Keep the stock exhaust, it's much better.

Worth buying for the "experience" of driving it, as is the case with most cars in my opinion, but if you are counting your pennies and need a supercar, it's possibly one of the worst you can choose.

I've been doing a large scale comparison of 100 road-legal cars around my favourite track Trial Mountain, nearly through but the Enzo is currently 13th, and I expected it to be way higher. Also yet to test most of the Ferraris and have a feeling the 458 and Scuderia will be quicker too.

It's still very fast, and I like driving it because it does behave quite differently to its peers, was just very surprised at how much hard work it actually is.

And OK it might be better with tuning but for me this totally blows a hole in the side of the GT experience anyway. Sure, I can understand getting more out of much slower cars with tuning and upgrades, but for us to be able to tune a damn Ferrari in minutes in front of our TVs to make it handle better is kinda ridiculous :dunce:

I like it, I don't use it much but times I have, I always thought people are a bit harsh on this car. It is better than a lot of others on GT5.

I found it great fun out the box, still my scuderia is my favourite for thrashing round.

Buy everything! Theres so much cr in the game I've got 2, a stock and a tune. 15 mil jn 2 days means I might buy another. I don't drive either if them - can't be bothered to work on a tune

Out of the box, with no setting changes, it gives the veryon a run for its money in the handling stakes, but with the right tuning, its definitely got potential, unlike the veyron!

I like the Veyron, but it handles like a pig.

To be honest, it doesnt even handle!

I've said this elsewhere but I totally don't agree with this view. In the comparo i've been doing the Veyron is #1, ahead of the McLaren F1 and everything else that's road legal. The Enzo is around 5 seconds slower at Trial Mountain, which has a good balance of fast sections and some tricky corners.

OK the Veyron isn't a lightweight car by any means but its handling is far more controllable than the Enzo, and as i've said many times before, look at how damn fast you are going in that Bugatti, it's still a road car so brake earlier! That understeer is because you are approaching the bends at about 50mph faster than anything else. The Bugatti Veyron absolutely eats the track up.

Seriously pick out a couple of tracks and run a few of the supposedly quickest cars against each other. And be objective, run a few laps (I run up to 10, tyres run in nicely 2-3 laps in) cleanly. See which comes out best.

And i'm not a Veyron fanboy by any means, there are many cars I prefer including several in GT5 :)

EDIT - I should perhaps also add that I don't think the Veyron would be the quickest in "real life", I expected the F1 to be a little bit better in GT5 and I think on anything less than a very open, fast track it would trump the Veyron.
