I've spent hours trying to tune it, but yet to have a good result. I've even went ahead and looked for tunes from other people but still, the thing turns horribly. I don't know if this is just me but has anyone actually found this thing a tune that doesn't send you out into the grass or into a wall?

I expected more from such a high caliber car.

Huge disappointment. :yuck:

No it's just a bad car sorry :(

Try going slower into the corners, and using the cars' horsepower to creatively adjust its balance, mid-corner. The Enzo is only rubbish in the hands of the clumsy driver.

Yeah the enzo is a monster but ive seen it go very quick online
Personally with my wheel, i find it oversteers too much

Erm, I think you'll find its the throttle is causing that. :)

You should check the Tuning Forum, there are some good tunes. :sly:

For example this one: RKM Motorsport’s Enzo GT

Add 56 kg ballast to the back & the car is fine. And I think toe: -25/-0,20 & rear aero: 25 is better. 👍

The car is tuned for online, so tune it & go online. It doesn't eliminate completely the understeer, but it's ways better.

Just don't use too eary the throttle in corners. :D

Or. this setup

I hit a 1:20.4 on Laguna with it earlier tonight. It doesn't completely eliminate the understeer, but it handles remarkably better with no snap oversteer, and no unnecessary weight additions.

The car will get a bit better with tunes but all in all it is just not a good car in the corners, the straightaways are a different story though.

Add me and you can tell me what you think of my Tune. Jimmy281090.. I'll send you the car in A day

Any time I drive it, the lap times are about as good as or a little better than a 458 Italia, but I imagine the superior straightline speed makes up for it. Still, it seems to me (unscientifically) that the corner speeds of each car are about the same. It's definitely not near as satisfying to drive as my 458 Italia or even a lightly modded 599.

I find the RVR tune to FXX spec is the best.

Thanks for everyone's opinion. I have set my expectations for the car to be damn low for its cornering abilities. Lol.

Drive a set of practice laps witht the car you want to compare to and save the fastest lap. Do the same with Enzo and use the telemetry to compare the speed differences at any point of the track.

It just occured to me that you might know all this already so sorry if i sounded too patronising. Not the intention. :)

I love the car. Especially with my tune. All the other tunes I have found are rubbish.
The understeer is what makes it so stable. I manage a little over 3m 10s on the Ferrari Seasonal at La Sarthe.

Think of it a little bit in terms of a 4wd. Enter in slow exit out hard although make sure the thing doesnt fishtail lol

I would say lethargic nightmare really.👍:yuck:

My set up (At least with my driving style) actually has the car oversteering through the corners. It is the turn in that kills it, past that it handles beautifully

I just find it horrible to drive,I mean you would expect it from a Veyron because it weighs alot more but.:yuck:

Just be aware that you are always to fast with it.
This leads to "weak" Brakes (but they are fine I tested them at La Sarthe Seasonal), Corner Understeer (same Corner Speed as the 458 Italia) and Oversteer (this is normal for a High HP MR Car).

You have to Brake a little earlier because you are faster.
Example seasonals:
458 Italia before first Brake-Chicane at Mulsanne-straight: 358 kph and I Brake at the 100-150 sign and I´m going perfect through the chicane.
With the Enzo I´m doing 387 kph => same Brakepoint leads me going in the Sand
=> Brakepoint a little way back (the Traffic light) and it´s good

Well and if your aware of that the Enzo becomes a great Car but the Limits are very edgy.
Example:
Porsche Curves: 175 kph and I´m good but with 178 kph I´m Understeering towards grass.
Or if you miss the Brakepoint you´r screwed and in the Sand.
Same for the Acceleration-point.

The above things are the same for the Veyron you are always to fast which leads to you think its rubbish ;) You have to adjust to the speed the Cars have.

Finally same goes for the Gillet Vertigo. It is a GT2/GT3 Car with LMP specs
=> it doesn´t corner that well and has less Downforce
=> some think it´s not worth the money.
But I did a 58.8xx at Rome with it => not that Bad at all.

Set your Enzo brakes to 3/6
I find that that really helps a lot because the main reason it takes so long to slow down is that it locks up.

I have my super/hyper cars to be at 590-600 PP because they're a lot more fun to drive around the Nürburgring when they don't oversteer in the most simplest of turns. Lol. Anyways, I just can't get the same times I do in the Enzo as the 458 or even the SRT-10, Ford GT, and LFA. Even if I brake early and take the turns, slow in - fast out.

Don't you mean to add ballast to the front? The car is already way unbalanced to the rear with I think 36/64 weight distribution. At the suggestion of CrackedTrigger in the fastest times at Sarthe thread in the Seasonals forum, I started with RKM's tune and added 49kg ballast to the front. The weight is still more to the rear, but the extra weight up front helps it turn a lot better. It didn't turn the car into an X1, but it's much much easier to drive now.

I get so angry every time I see a supercar x has horrible understeer, as I know it is just going to be the driver making a mess of the corner.

You don't need to break a little earlier because you are going a little bit quicker, you have to break a lot earlier. Remember doubling your speed quadruples your stopping distance.

The Enzo understeer is most likely due to the extreme tire stagger: 245 front and 345 rear, which is pretty excessive for a car with 44/56 (I think) weight distribution. It has a fair amount of understeer in real life as well, so it's not like PD totally botched the car's handling. Once you learn not to overdrive the front tires it's actually a pretty good car.

I've posted this earlier under the same topic but here it is again:

A few anecdotes regarding the Enzo from the Car and Driver magazine and (yelp) Dan Greenawalt of Forza and Turn 10:

Car and Driver (from their test: http://bit.ly/njj41D)

"Trouble is, turns come rapid fire at this track, many of them just over blind rises and with fast-changing cambers and barf-bag drops. The Enzo pulls 1.05 g on VIR's skidpad (also stickier than its forebears and any other current production car we've tested) but plows into tight corners and can snap abruptly to oversteer at the exit by the ticklish electronic throttle and the explosive power it produces. Balancing the Enzo is a challenge; it reserves its best behavior for the talented and attentive."

Dan Greenawalt:

"Automagic (my note: that's Forza 3's driving physics) is accurate enough that it has actually revealed flaws in real-world cars. One of those cars, he claims, is the Ferrari Enzo. Turn 10 modeled the Enzo shortly after its introduction — and before anyone outside Ferrari had driven it — using data obtained from Maranello. When the car was loaded into the game, its chassis balance was supposedly nightmarish, a mix of low-speed understeer and snap oversteer. "It didn't work below [triple-digit speeds]," Greenawalt says. "We thought, 'This is the Enzo — it can't be this bad.' We just assumed our math model was wrong." Shortly thereafter, several major car magazines drove the car and commented at length on its flawed handling. Greenawalt was nothing if not relieved."

Although I have to say that driving the Enzo in Forza 3, I don't actually feel the snap oversteer due the the muted steering although the low speed understeer is present. However, it did in Forza 2 (from what I can remember) although so were the other 300+ cars.

And here's a video of the Stig driving the Enzo Ferrari (from Top Gear when the Enzo did a 1:19.0)- the top video is from the inside of the car and the bottom, the exterior view. Too bad, Top Gear edit the Power lap instead of showing the entire lap. It would give an interesting perspective.

Notice how easily the car understeers.

Since Eddie admitted to hitting the throttle INSTEAD of the brakes, I'm thinking he was just a little out of his element...:D
My point is he's pretty clueless and thats why the car is plowing. Enzos understeer but so does pretty much anything that powerful unless its a brick

Love the part where he says "...But brother can't drive"
