Another epic car forum thread (almost as good as the NSX-Nick one from a few years ago)

BMW DB driver parks and take up two spaces.
- A guy in a truck decides to park just like BMW DB driver 2-3" away from him which blocked the BMW DB driver's door.
- BMW DB driver then decides to teach a lesson to the driver of the truck and take a baseball bad to one of the trucks mirrors.
- BMW DB posts on an internet forum explaining the situation and seeking legal advice and defends his actions.
- Internet forum members tell him what a DB he is, and he constantly defends his actions.

Boy raised to value his belongings over consideration of others, too selfish to see things from another person's point of view, and now too butthurt to suck it up.

I've had nice cars in the past that I did indeed park in two spots, but it was always in a large parking lot and in the boonies with no other cars around. Smaller lots I would find a spot next to a curb or crossed off area in the lot and park as close to it as I could to give the one car next to me plenty of room. My current car has plenty of dings so I don't care about it as much, but my next car I will revert back to option A for sure.
 
If the parking lot is empty or near-empty, I don't really care if somebody takes two spots. Though I find it a bit funny if it was an older 7 series.
 
He mentioned several times that he respects other people's property but it doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to realize that when you take out a bat and damage someone else's car because you feel disrespected that they made an example out of you, it's quite a contradiction. Not sure where he got his sense of entitlement.
 
It really does seem like police work is easier than ever...

On the double parking issue, it really depends on how they do it as sometimes it's obvious the person was just too lazy to do a proper parking job.
 
I feel like this wouldn't have gotten nearly as much attention if the guy wasn't driving a premium car. Regardless, I don't really see the issue with taking up more than one space in what appears to be an empty parking lot. I'm not saying it's right, but who the hell cares how one guy decided to park when literally every space other than those two are available. If he's doing it in busy parking lots, then yeah, that's a dick move, but it's an empty parking lot where nobody's gonna be inconvenienced. The F150 driver should've kept their hard-on for petty justice to themselves.
 
That guy is an inconsiderate, immature douchebag. I hope they throw the book at him and send him to jail.
 
I'll usually park close to a curb or a planter or as far away from other cars as I can.

I don't agree with either party here, both seem quite inconsiderate.
 
Only two types of people keep a baseball bat in the trunk, and this guy doesn't coach Little League.
 
I keep a bat in the trunk of my Audi, but I play baseball, and I don't think I would ever practice on someone's mirror even if they dinged my car.
 
Reading through the entire forum post it occurs to me that everyone missed one, very important detail: The guy driving the truck didn't own the truck, and he admits to being aware of it. He called the number. The owner said it was a business truck that his brother was driving.

He knew the driver was not the owner and then still took the bat to it. He has performed harm against an innocent. I would not be surprised if that comes up in court and he suddenly realizes that he looks like an even bigger jerk because he didn't think far enough ahead to realize this was far worse than vandalism in the name of justice.

And I think with that in mind, none of the stuff about how he chose to park and how the other guy parked matters.
 
Why does this remind me of that older Acura forum incident where a guy was complaining about his wife and also got tons of backlash from the users? :D

EDIT: This guy definitely has some nerve. Not backing off, just keeps insisting.

"bud, I don't know what you read above but I clearly stated where I live there is no rule that says you can't park in two spots. I don't understand how I'm the bully. The guy was trying to instigate a situation and that's what he got. To me that's a bully. Yeah I understand I commited a crime, I damaged his property, but he did incite it. Sorry we don't see eye to eye but why don't you come park like that to me and then justify it with your thinking when I knock your side mirror or."

This was a near empty parking lot. The F-150 could've parked somewhere else. Yeah double parking is a 🤬 move if you're in a lot that is packed, but that isn't the case here.
 
So if he purposely parked well away from anybody else, in an empty section of the lot, then why the &#@% did he need to use 2 spaces??!?!?!?!?! Just park the damn car.

If you don't want your car to be "exposed" to all of that risk, then leave it in the garage.

I hope someone feeds him his crybaby panties.
