I think it is to do with network compatability problems with the host.
Also an error code library would be really useful 👍

Tried Google tried everything, can't find a solution to this error. Used to play with a few mates 4 of us based in Sydney and 1 in Canberra. Stopped playing for a while to play FIFA and some other games, now we have come back to it and every time I try and race my buddy from Canberra we get this error.

"Network compatibility problem with the owner of the room (768)"

If I start the room he gets it, if he starts the room i get it. We even get this in our private lobby(s).

It's driving me nuts, we both have the same ISP (TPG) and were having no problems earlier this year (Jan / Feb) ADSL 2+ we are playing late at night so there is nothing else running on either of our networks.

I have read these 2 entire threads, tried most of what's there to no avail...
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=219634 and https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=235483

Before this we used to race each other perfectly, absolutely no problems, I raved to other friends about the online performance, but this latest error have got me stumped and pretty frustrated.

If anyone can offer some advice it would be most appreciated...

Just keep trying to get in with some of my friends they may take four or five times before getting in the room.

Anyone have a solution for this? i've been experiencing this a couple of days ago and it's annoying, can't join my friends but i can join in other lobbys.

i have 20mb

Okay, so after the update everything went to ****.

I get "error 768" code 2 out of 3 times. If I do manage to join a room, I don't do anything (not even move the cursor) and I get disconnected within 2 minutes.

I play a lot of Killzone 2 online and in 3 years, I think I've had connection troubles 3 times (I'm just guessing because I can only remember one instance where I had a problem).

Good job, PD.

You get that if you join a room/lounge and your network capabilities aren't at best. So basically if they let you in you would be lagging like 🤬 and you would eventually quit so it's doing you a favour from my point of view.

The connection is the same as before. Everything was fine before the update. Besides, if my connection was the problem, everyone else would be lagging from my point of view. This was never really the case.

edit: Possible fix for this.

Configure your internet connection manually an make sure to turn off (or disable or don't allow) UPnP. It's the only thing I've changed and it worked. Don't ask me why lol.
If you need screen shots or anything, let me know :)
