Escudo Wheelie and etc. cars in GT4 possible?

I never did the wheelie trick in GT3, but my co-worker had. We spent a good half hour or more trying to get a vehicle to wheelie in GT4. I earned the Escudo by completing the second-to-last Special Conditions event. We bumped it up as much HP as possible--still only went to 1,100-something--and tried to tweak it appropriately. The vehicle started to lift off the ground at around 210MPH. In the straights, with NOS, we could only get it to about 250-260. It'd wheelie definitely, but it'd rock back and forth instead of pulling upright. And sadly it never accelerated past 260ish. It probably only went up about 25-30 degrees off the ground (opposed to the near-90 degree wheelie my co-worker described about GT3).

We will try again.

needs more power, or better gears?

It didn't work for me with my 88C-V. I had it tuned to the max with the most nitrous you can have. I had room to work with in the RPM Range, but all she did was nose up and nose down over and over.

This was as far as I could get it to come up. There was no insane acceleration when it happened like in GT3. It looks like the pneumatic jack (???) might have prevented it from comming up any farther, but I still doubt the wheelie trick is possible.

A little bit OT, sorry for that...

But the Mercedes CLK - GTR has not flipped in Le Mans...

it was the CLR one year later... :sly:

Have Fun

Do you race?
Fortunately, the only thing damaged in those accidents was the driver's pride.

And dan, I read your siganture. Pretty darn impressive ... but you can get full stats by playing GT2 on ALL languages - try going into Spanish and take a look at North City ...

Hey... THANKS!!!! I've been at 99,54% since 2000... playing in spanish.... I passed all the tournaments excepting the Vauxhall one (called OPEL here)...

Now I have 100,45% teeeeheheheeeeheheh...

So, like dan, now I can say...

GT1 - 100%
GT2 - 100%
GT3 - 100%
GTC - 90% (ouch...)
GT4P - 100% ALL GOLD

Thank you very much 👍 :dopey: :)

I'll wait for someone to cheat device the horsepower modifiers. Then you can take a 20,000+ hp car and see if it will wheelie. Then you will know for a fact if the physics will allow the car to wheelie, or force the nose back down every time as suggested in another post.

It's not really doing a wheelie though ;)

sooo....whats it doing?

im confused :dunce:

Whos seen that video of the CLK-GTR at lemans i think? i dunno but some air gets under the front of the car and it flips over backwards, obviously its not set up like the cars in GT that do that, but same concept; aerodynamics can do wonders at over 150mph

There's another car in front of the Skyline which I hit at a high speed, and on impact, the front of the Skyline lifted up :) Just a little camera trick.

I just pulled a massive wheelie in my '71 Plymouth Cuda, but im not sure if it counts. Ill upload a picture in a second. I just hit 210 and bumped the wall, and rode a huge wheelie for about 20 feet, then spun out of control and did around 50 complete spins before coming to a stop.

I've seen the video of the Mercedes-Benz flip. Pretty insane. Too bad that guy couldnt steer while airborne, it looked like it would have landed on its wheels. Talk about a highlight.

i have a video of a porshe 911 gt1 doing on perfect backflip, then landing it....into a wall lol. as for the merc, i think she did about 3flips, then lanned in the forest.
all major areo flaws. as for the wheelies. ude go so fast the game would crash :dunce: lol

Yeah I've seen the benz go into the trees, I just wanted to see it again. How about posting a link to the 911 vid? :D

has anyone seen the video of the flip at road atlanta? I think its a Mclaren F1 LM racer... but im not exactly sure. If you know what I'm talking about, and you know what car it is, let me know.

Edit: i just did some research and i found something about it being a porsche gt98... whatever, ill continue to look

Yannick Dalmas performed a stylish back-flip in the Porsche LMP1-98
