Yeah yeah, I know, when it comes to threads, I'm not very keen on being creative. But this sadly declining forum needs more life.
In this thread, much like AnsisK, I will be posting designs and drawings, both new and old.

This first one is a design that simply popped into my head for no reason at all years ago. Since then I have been trying to draw it out as I had envisioned it, and only done so once-this sketch was done on September 5, 2004.

I have this running gig going on with a friend at school-he requests a car to be designed, I do it, and I get feedback. This was his request for a REAL Charger, not a four door rental car. it progressed from the side view to the rear view to the front perspective, so the front perspective is what I had most in mind.

This one was done around March, and the objective was to create a small yet reasonably sized sports coupe, along the lines of a 350Z, but slightly bigger, more powerful and comfortable.

I suck at drawing people-but this is the only time I've ever done it right.

A new year a new signature-
I did this one while in San Francisco. I hate to say it, but I'm actually a fan of Audi's big new schnoz.

Another one done (rather quickly) while in San Francisco.

This one still lies in its current state-this was the view from my room at the Hyatt Union Square in San Francisco.

I know, this drawing is of poor quality, but at least take into account that it was done on quite possibly the most boring 9 hour drive on the planet, Milwaukee to Salem, Ohio. And it was done on a bus, mind you.

As was this.

The quality is better this time, but not much, on this, as it was done on a very windy day on a picnic table waiting for the USBank fireworks to start on the lake.

I have always respected the PT Cruiser. It had a good original idea, reviving the big cars of the 40's, but didn't execute it very well in design. (I actually think the 'Me Too' Cruiser [aka Chevy HHR] was designed much better) This is my redesign, which would also call for a coupe version.

I bet none of you have ever seen Milwaukee before... :p

This one's a WIP of San Francisco. It has progressed slightly since this photo was taken...

And finally, my Auburn concept. This is a design that would revive the large luxury sports cars of the 30's and forties while combining style and engineering, much like Bugatti. The Auburn would go along with an inline 8, V12 or W16 engine.

That's all for now.

Wow, I gotta say I'm impressed. Since I am the one telling everyone to post, looks like I gotta do it in other people's threads too. Here I go.

I won't comment on every piece, I'll just run through a couple.

All in all, there isn't much to say. These are mostly ideation sketches, which are fairly underrated in general, and I barely have an oppurtunity to see any of them. Yours look great, but I'm sort of feeling that a lot of them need more refinement (such as the 'reasonably-sized coupe'). Some of them seem a bit strange to me, because you don't really show your brushstrokes, but that's all personal preference and taste, nothing wrong with it at all.

Out of all of them, I think that the Audi is my favorite. And I also have to agree with you on their new design process, it adds a little flair to their marque (although sometimes it seems a bit too 'busy' for me).

A question/comment on the LMP car. Looks top notch, I really love the design, but the proportions seem off, from a technical standpoint. I can't really see room for that big motor anywehre. There's a long and vast nose but behind the driver, there's hardly anything there left for the powerplant. I love the design, mind you. Perfect execution, really. It seems maaaaaybe a titch too narrow, but just.

Many of your designs seem very well presented, I'm eager to see what you can do with colours and lighting. Some of the designs already seem suitable for that stage (the Auburn and PT are right there). Even with your level of detail/"sketchyness", I'd suggest adding already a little bit of reflection here and there with a marker. All they need is a stroke or two. But again, that's also personal preference.

Another question: what pen are you using? It looks pretty nice. How does it handle markers? Bleeding? I love markers that pee out ink, but it's alwyas hard to find something that stays when diluted with marker ink.

Yeah, one last thing. Great urban drawings. Milwaukee looks killer :)

On most of (and probably all) I'm using just a simple Uni-Ball, not a micro or precision version. If I come across a design I really like, I'll sometimes finalize it on thicker paper in pencil form, or in a dryer ink pen. I still have to buy myself a marker kit. :p

Thanks for your comments. Most of them aren't really drawings at all, but just little doodles done in free time. :)

Here is my most recent concept, a reincarnation of the Ford Escort, which Ford beat into submission in the 90's (save the Cosworths).
I really dislike the Five Hundreds, and to commemorate how kick ass the Escorts were in the UK in the 70's and 80's, I brought about this concept which has some cues to the original while maintaining a firm, deliberately new stance, and sharing some of Ford's current trends, like the chrome grille.

Looks good and I like the technique, but I really don't feel the "deliberately new stance" that Ford Europe has been showing for the past few years. I think this is mainly because of the greenhouse on that one, too bubbly. Maybe squaring things up a bit, but still keeping a similar shape. The c-pillars seem a bit outdated. Keep on drawing dude, somebody's gotta keep this place alive
:)

Maybe I should ealborate 'deliberately new...' More like this is a 'retro' (if you want to degrade it to that) car that doesn't dwell too much on the past and looks, well, 'deliberatley new.' :p
Thanks for the comment. :)

Here's the amphibious Jeep for the Comp2. Not much to note on, save a removable rear top, below which would be a U shaped 'couch' to make for a nice social area when out on the water. Oversized, lightweight tyres would fold up while in the water, to act as a secondary ballast and keep the car more stable when afloat. Removable targa top, also.
