Here is what I need to do:

'Golding stated. that the theme of lotr is "an atte.mpt to trace the defects of socie.ty back to the defects of human .nature. The mora.l is that the shape of a society must depend on the e.thical nature of the individual an.d not on any political system..." Explai.n how the novel il.lustrated this idea. Be certai.n to address the use of stylis.tic devi.ces in your answer. '

I need help starting out.

Hmm.. What grade are you in? I had to read that book and Of mice and men and let me tell you LOTF was boring after reading 50 pages so I just stopped. Oh and I had to read this over the summer but I didnt get no word from the teachers so I had about one week to read them both when I went for a re-schelduled open house because I missed the first one when I went to Tennesse.

Lord of the Flies is a great book. Your essay sounds like it would be easy for anyone who read and understood the book. I just helped my girlfriend with an essay on it last night.

Hmm, how good is this book? I'm gonna have to do the same thing as your doing next semster.👍

I didn't like the book, as it is an allegory.
It contains a lot of symbolism, which I guess could be ignored.
Basically, there is a plane crash and the survivors are left on an island.
Slowly, things start breaking up and they turn into savages.

In the first sentence you might want to take the word "wants" out and say- In the LOTF...Golding shows that...through (give examples of how he shows society does not bring out evil such as, style or soemthing of the like). Try not to use the word "think" like in the second sentence, it weakens the argument. In the third sentene it might sound better to use "when a plane, carrying a group of boys, crashes onto the island". When saying things begin to get worse, say something to explain this, like, " the boys begin acting barbarically, and the relationship between the groups begins to quickly degrade." Overall, not to bad.

Awesome. Sounds exciting.👍
Yeah it does sound nice and all but the author just gives out a bit of too much detail and he/she describes almost every single damn thing thats around them and that just made it boring for me.
