What it looks like to me now more so than in my prior statements is exchange rates and tax rates are the cause of other nations having to pay more.

The Tax for those products in Portugal (IVA) is 23% and in Spain it's way less (12% i guess). Although the new DLC price is the same for both countries. So, there's no taxing issue.

As for the exchanges, it's the same as buying something (i.e. a PS3 Game) from Amazon. Besides the packing costs, you pay exactly the same for the product in Portugal and the US.

For me, it was a simple convertion mistake that must be corrected.

I'm pretty sure It was $6.90 AUD despite gran-turismo.com saying

I'm not the type to complain, besides i love all the new cars (especially the Golf) but isn't that a bit harsh? Not so much the actual price but the fact that they told us the wrong one :guilty:

A$ 6.95 it was, and yes, I did notice the A$ 5.60 on the web-site too. What was that all about? Looking at the current rate, I paid US $7.06!

...
The flip side of the argument is in the US we have one of the highest INCOME tax rates in the world. We are one of the few countries that will tax your income (about 30% on average) then tax another 5-9% in sales tax... it creates a double tax where we actually make MUCH less than what it seems.

Uhm, pretty much every country in Europe has higher income tax than the US as well. E.g. in Austria it's on a sliding scale up to 50% (the top rate is applied to all income above €51.000).

On the other hand, we do also get a lot in return.

Sorry - don't want to hijack this thread...
