Nice article. This is definitely the start of something big, real big. So big in fact I don't think people even realize what's taking place right before there eyes. Kaz wants 175 car grids part was interesting, just to bad I will be 60 years old by the time that come to be or shall I say I hope to be alive to see it one day. GT-R Nismo- King of the Nurburgring (imo), and King of Goodwood, need I say anymore.

I think now I see what Kaz really wants to do with the game. It's much more than just building a game, his ambition is building a bridge between the motorsports and digital world. I'm intrigued on how he plans to achieve this over the course of the next 10 years through the only way he and his team know how.

I sometimes think Kaz has lost interest in Gran Turismo the game but it's when you see things like this that blow your mind.
We, myself included call him/them lazy but the amount of behind the scenes stuff is crazy.
Even the decision making process, waiting for an answer must take months alone.

Its heartening to know PD/Kaz have big plans for GT to be THE go to simulator for car racing.

Its stuff like this that sets GT apart from every other sim, and what things we might call pointless in game (mapping stars etc) are all part of the bigger picture.
Plus the fact is, it is done, all these incidental details that others don't think about will ultimately go to create the most detailed and realistic racer ever!

I was doing one of the new seasonals yesterday, anyway my dinner was ready so i finished the lap and left it running on the retry/replay etc screen whilst eating.
I was amazed!
They have modelled everything, and i mean everything!
Things you would never even see whilst racing or in normal play.
Far, far into the distance too.
It all goes above and beyond and i think we need to appreciate PD more than we do.
It's these tiny things that make a difference.

Look what they've achieved on a PS3, imagine the stuff they could have sorted properly with just a bit more power, the shadows, the framerate.
Imagine with twice PS3 power!
.... Now imagine with PS4 ~6 times the power!
