Riccardo Patrese and his wife having a lap around Jerez in a Civic Type-R. Doesn't she know he's a professional?

(Possible-swearing-in-Italian warning.)

Shhh...! Funny Vid Thread takes too long to read and sort though.

Darn it, though.

Actually, it was mentioned in the Car & Driver I just received on Saturday, since the mag's journalist/driver was also testing the same car as the driver/journalist.

My wife drives like that sometimes.
Though she is more vocal with the slower traffic that impedes her progress.
I don't scream. But I have worn out numerous imaginary brake pedals.

I think that's what happened with my mum when I was learning to drive.

At least she wasn't hanging off his arm... It's tough trying to make a 0.9g double left-hander when your wife is screaming at you "you're doing it wrong" and hanging onto you for dear life. She has never been out on the racetrack with me again.

Keeping in mind that when we met SHE was the one wearing out imaginary brakes, and screaming in TERROR at some of the things I used to do with a car.
And it's not so much that I'm afraid of HER driving.
I'm afraid of the trust she puts in the drivers around her.
Some of them are truly "dinks" that should be voting for light rail, and using mass transit.

There is a version with subtitles that popped up in the little scrolly-bar thingy at the bottom after the vid finished.
Highly amusing, but not really suitable for :gtplanet: even with 1/2 the letters blanked out, so you'll have to go find it for yourselves.

Pupik was right about his "possible swearing in Italian" warning, she goes ballistic at one point!

That video is pretty funny. I love it when she realises there is a camrera there.
