Good luck to everyone getting their results in the next few hours 👍

I can't remember when the GCSE results are in, and I don't want to remember, Ignorance is bliss, all I know is its not far away :scared:

Get my G.C.S.E results on the 23rd.... Only 8 days.
Jeez, i hope i do, well. :) Good luck to everyong thats getting there resuts in the next week!

Yep, the 23rd is the day... Have either of you 2 registered for the online results thing Edexcel are doing? I only just got around to registering yesterday. Apparently they release the results online as of 6 AM, so how the hell I'll sleep I don't know... AQA, annoyingly, have no such service, so I've still got to go into school to get the other half.

Nuts, just over 9 hours to go. I'm honestly not getting any sleep tonight, I'm actually really worried now. I have a horrible feeling that both Physics and Maths are going to be lower than I'd want.

I passed my AP calculus exam. Well kinda. I passed Calculus AB, but not BC. But its all good, cause im taking it now in college.

Meh. I didn't do as well as I had hoped. I got a 3 on Calc AB (wanted a 4 or five) and a 3 on European History. (wanted a 4) I'm suprised I got a 2 on the French test; I was definitly expecting a 1.

Hey, 3's on AP tests are pretty good! It means you can at least get some college credit out of it, and skip a class or two at the university. AP tests saved me from having to take first-year chemistry and calculus from crappy professors.

I haven't heard of anyone getting credit from a 3 on an AP test, aside from Calculus. I'm not getting anything from my 3s on APUS or AP Euro.

The deal with Calculus is that I take second year calculus and I get an extra math credit if I pass with a B or better.

Not saying that 3s aren't anything to be ashamed of. They are a little dissapointing when you feel that you got all of the material really well.

It depends on the school, and sometimes even the program. In most cases at UW, an AP score of 3 gets you something. Heck, a 3 on the AP French test gave me credit for French 201 (and completed my foreign language requirement :D).

Whats this?! Edexcel are doing online results. Can you get me the link for this please so i can sign up! :) I have no idea how i'm going to get into school to get my results. I Live in a village away from my school, and buses run every two hours. I don't want to be stuck at school for two hours! I'm sure i'll find a way though.

Got my AS results back.
Physics B
Maths B
DT B
Spanish C

I'm abit gutted because I was expecting an A in DT but it seemed I really messed up one of the papers. (I had an A in one, and a D in the other!?)

So looks like I'll need to retake that paper and probably my Quantum physic paper in Physics and C2 in Maths if I want my As.

Just had my trial HSC exams...finally finished with the internal assessments for year 12, now it's just the external HSC exams themselves in October/November. God it feels great to finish a series of tests...

I receieved a B for both my Maths and English. I'm very happy with the English result. Maths was limited to B just because it was an intermediate paper - I could have achieved a lot higher.

The English, as I've probably mentioned before, required you to remember so much for the main exam, and so little time to write it all down. So I'm very glad I done this well as I only had a 2 hour lesson per week for a year compared to the ~5 hours you would have had at school, and spread over 2 years. Maybe I would have remebered everything if I completed school, but I don't have any regrets.

2 As - Maths and BCS (it's ICT mixed with Business studies)
4 Bs - English, English Lit, Science 1, Science 2
3 Cs - French (I can't believe I passed!), Graphics and Geography
1 D - Music (That was to be expected, really)

Overall, didn't do too badly methinks. Apart from the Music, but there we go ;)

Hey, good job on the grades and I've taken notice since we more or less took the same subjects (Just finished A2 & now preparing for uni).

On the subject of retakes, I thought about just re-doing C2 but ended up doing C1 as well.. didn't particularly need to but the extra marks gave quite a bit of peace of mind for the later modules. Out of interest are you doing/done S1, thats another 'points banker' unit and in my view the retakes are well worth while against the pretty unpredictable C4 paper.

Edit: Nearly forgot, nice work with the grades to Jondot and G.T as well 👍

I'm doing maths with mechanics :D And I had 98% on M1. I even knew what I did wrong within 30 minutes of leaving the exam room. I'd done friction the wrong way on a ramped pulley system :banghead:

Where are you going to Uni? I'm assuming an engineering course aswell?

Ah I see, well congrats on the M1 module - if it was anything like last years it was definately a points banker as well (couple of peeps in my class managed 100%, but sadly not me :indiff:), and it definately helps basically doing it twice through Physics.

About Uni, I suppose we're just a little predictable having taken Maths and Physics.. I'm going to Loughborough to do Aeronautical Engineering, not really looking for employment in the aviation industry but taking it more out of an interest. Only thing is I still can't cook, so that should be a laugh!

I took my maths GCSE a year early (apparently I am gifted) I got an A in it, I would have liked an A* but doing the maths higher course in 1 year, including all coursework is difficult. I did a advanced maths GCSE this year, which is like the first module of maths you get a college, it is much harder but far more interesting, we do mechanics for a start. You don't do that in your normal GCSE.

Still, despite being good at maths, I am useless at coursework so naturally all my subjects suffered. Still I got the grades I needed so its all good.

Aww snap!

Loughborough is on my list of Uni's, along with Southampton, Bath, Bristol and last choice Glamorgan. Though I am looking for something more degree orientated after.

I'm pretty damn pleased about my GCSE results:
1A* - Maths
7As - ICT, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Lit., English Lang, German
3Bs - History, Latin, Geography
1C - RMT

Slightly annoyed at the C in RMT, but since i applied for Food Tech back in Yr. 10, i suppose i should be happy about passing. Also, missed A* by 2 marks on both Chemistry and Physics :ouch: but ah well....

Got my AS results back.
Physics B
Maths B
DT B
Spanish C

Spooky. :dopey:

Physics - B
Maths - B
English - B
Computing - C :s

I got a U on one of my computing papers. Even allowing for the fact that we were taught the wrong syllabus, I screwed up big time. :ouch:

I'm taking my SAT in a few hours. Wish me luck, guys.

Just got back a few minutes ago. Man, what a rushed test. I had no problems with the reading and writing parts, but the math and essay portions were up my ass with the time limits. I think I did well, though. We shall see.

Okay, it looks like I got a 1980-2001 on my SAT. Just missed that 2100 for a 97th percentile, but I suppose my score puts me at a comfortable 90%ile.

Not bad. My math sucked (not really, but, compared to what I was expecting) and I got an 8 out of 12 on my essay because I was rushed as hell for both of them. Still, I went to see what my local colleges are looking for and most of the class profiles are like 980-1100.

So they're just one day of tests? Over here we have 3 weeks over which all the subjects people could take are tested...We're in week one now, I've still got 5 tests left to do. :(

Good luck with them. 👍

my exams dont start until january. ive got:
1.english
2.functions and relations
3.physics
4.economics

Woot got my results back for the HSC.

English Advanced - 89
3 Unit Maths - 97
4 Unit Maths - 92
Economics - 94
Physics -94
Studies of Religion - 48 (out of 50)

Pissed off that I was 1 mark off all band 6s (top bands) in English, I would've got some Premier's award if I did.
I ended up getting a UAI of 99.45 so I'm pretty ****ing happy with that as it means I get my scholarship at UTS in a Bachelor of Accounting ($45,000 over three years and 100% rate of employment at the end with average starting salary of $50,000 with some getting up to $70,000).

I think i did OKAY on my science final, but i was stumped on a question and decided it a good idea to write this instead:)
please excuse the phone picture

i thought it was pretty funny

Odd, my final in my Chemistry class I pretty much wrote jibba-jabba because I had no idea what the answer was. God I hated that class, and I'm so happy that I've only got one more semester of science (not even real science) left...
