Yep I got them!! :grumpy: 1 day and already 3 tests!! got another 3 days of that to come yet...

Any of you (kinda pointing at the older people :p) remember exams?

Oh and that will meen I won't be on as much for the next 3 days or so (not that many of you will care but hey). lol.

Revise and Relax. Nothing worse than going into an exam and think "What the hell is this!". Revise and know what you need to know, get that done and you'll be relaxed come exam time. I've got my GCSE re-sits end of the month/first week of June. Lots of work to put in up till then, but I'm fairly confident in them.

I do the relax bit... Revise.. well I try, but I start and get lazy and stop lol. I'm safe though since I'm expected to get a level 8s and 7s :) (that's highest level for my year group if you didn't know). The problem with exams is how dull and boring they are and how exhausting they are to your brain! I feel very brain-numb now ha.

Good luck with them 👍. Just think... I'll be leaving school in two and a bit years, woo! Then I'll be in college or wherever I go... Woooo?? lol. What you thinking of doing when you leave school?

Meh, I'm looking forward to them. Can't wait to go to my new school in Sept.

Ah, Mocks.

I've left school (2004), doing re-takes at college.

What? You're in Yr9 and worrying about exams?

Serious, if you been a good worker all year you could fail them and still be put in next top sets next year. There's really no point stressing too hard about SATs cause next year they're abit more important again. And then college, well screw that up and you end up in a uni you don't want to be in, or doing a third year. And screw up uni and you're in a whole load of debt!

So, relax, enjoy, and RE is such a fun subject to put down stupid answers in.

Seriously, enjoy Year 9 as much as you can, while you can. As soon as you enter Year 10, for one whole year, its a completely different ball game....

Called "Coursework".

I wouldn't personally worry too much about the Year 9 SATS, just revise as much as you can for them and then do the best you can in the exam. The grades you get don't contribute to anything but the schools own reputation, as soon as you enter Year 10 your setted according to how well you did, but thats it. Now, GCSE's there the important ones for a secondary school...

I wish you luck 👍

I'm actually fairly confident. Except about Shakespeare - my teacher walked into our class the other day and told us straight out that:

  • Marking our essays made her depressed (word for word there)
  • All of our opinions were wrong (again word for word)
  • None of us have actually any knowledge of the play

And this wonderful pep talk of hers was issued to us a mere 5 days (or one lesson) before our exam. That's really helpful.

She's ballsing you.

No teacher would actually tell you that if you were failing cause she knew it would affect morale too much. She just knows that you're class are going to be more determined in your revision now to get those few extra marks.

That would be fair enough, but she went on and on about it for a good half an hour and, when it's the only essay she's bothered to set us since we started it in January, it's having more of an adverse effect. And she didn't say it in a ranty "I'm angry!" sort of way, she said it somewhat happily. I can't really explain it - maybe it's just her. Meh :/

But it doesn't matter anyway because I'm dropping it next year :D

try being at the brink of year 11 and saying coursework. It causes my physical pain just thinking of it.

WELL,back to this work that is part of a course then :banghead:

Must be pretty horrific for you. Lucky for me, most of our coursework is being put out of the window in Year 10. Makes things much more easier, alot of work but some what less stress.

Anyway, I got my results back from my 2 China Coursework essay's in history, I got 24/25. 1 Mark off, I'm hoping that means a A* otherwise I'm annoyed. :grumpy:

Thanks for the advice guys but I'm seriously not worried. Done the Shakespeare one, which was the one I wasn't looking forward to, but it wasn't too bad.

Coursework sounds like extra annoying homework... Nooooooooooooooooooo.

Oh and only two tests left now :) Then I'm free! Wooo!! lol.

Basically, but its a bit more important than homework. Year 10 and 11 is supposed to be the years where you mature and get serious about the work, however this doesn't work for everyone....:scared:
