Exclusive suits and helmets only available in Arcade Mode. (!) Very strange decision.

I searched for previous "suit threads" and I don't believe this topic has been discussed before.

Rarely do I venture into 'Arcade Mode', in any game really.
But yesterday I did try out the Arcade Mode in GT6, I went in there with a BMW and when I got out on track I was immediately perplexed.

The suit/helmet combo that my driver previously had on in Career Mode had been replaced with a sort of 'Factory Outfit'. They looked great!

I went and changed to a new make car and sure enough, the driver had that brands Factory suit & helmet on this time.

I tried four different manufacturers and the driver wore unique outfits each time;
McLaren, Suzuki, Volvo and even Plymouth.

So I am assuming every single manufacturer in the game has their own suit and helmet designed especially for them.

Why haven't these been made available in Career Mode or any other mode, except for only Arcade Mode?

Since I started playing GT6 not long ago I've felt the suits and helmets have lacked in quantity and imagination, most of them look the same with only minor variations,
and I have wondered why there haven't been more (better) options available, and yet there they are!

Hidden away all this time in Arcade Mode o_O.

I would really enjoy these suits and helmets in career mode, it would raise the experience of playing the game to another level of enjoyment.
Why can't they just put all of these into the 'Racing Gear' section?

Is it a copyright issue perhaps? Are they afraid that people will put a Ferrari driver in a McLaren car?
If so it couldn't be that hard to lock the Factory outfits to only work with the right manufacturer.

And you can already put Gardemeister in a Honda for instance, even though his suit and helmet is branded Suzuki. Or put Jeff Gordon in a Ford even though he is a career Chevrolet driver.
So if it's not copyright I wonder what else it could be..

I literally only just noticed this 15 seconds before i was alerted with this thread! i was editing a lambo picture and i noticed the drivers helmet had a Lamborghini symbol on it! PD THAT WOULD BE AWESOME TO WEAR EVERYWHERE! WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE SO WEIRD KAZ?????

Yeah and mechanics are modelled that way too for all makers.

Wouldn't mind my avatar to have his helmet over the manufacturer suit if they would ever allow it.

For me it's the other way around, I like being able to have different suits and helmets for my driver but then to not be able to wear my custom suit in arcade mode kinda bummed me out! I like customization & I hate it when the game makes decisions for me. I want to wear my purple/orange camo suit all the time dang it!! :D

Not a big deal. Test Drive mode in Garage let's you free lap in your bough suit. Arcade will use manufactuer racing gear. So you can Time Trial both ways ;)

I noticed all of this a while back during photomode. I was just happy to see it...

If you want photos of your current suit, take snaps in career mode or 'free run'. The other suits are there for you to take snaps of in arcade mode. Otherwise, it dosen't really matter, as you don't really see your driver during a race.
