In my eyes forced bugs are not bugs. That is a collision 'issue' that almost every racing game has when it comes to the limits of the tracks as in this case.
A bug is more like when the game fails or crashes/freezes in some situations (caused by), or the AI having a bad behaviour (like crashing in the same place every time)...etc.

It's still a bug by definition...

doesn't matter if you force it or not.

Anyone been able to find out if the banking above is "solid" or do you just drive through it? Ditto the railing on the inside, by the water.

Normally I dont glitch in the game, but being bored I tried it and took pics of the high banks, looks interesting

Totally worth it just for this.

Now, someone get to the runway

Mercedes test track homage?...

Jesus some of you people are so sinical of what people do. I don't mind seeing these exploits at all. I remember back when GT2 was released seeing the YouTube Footage of the Action Reply discs used to access the unfinished code of Extra Tracks & Cars not usually available in the game and that was a simplistic pleasure that I didn't personally mind finding out about. I'm going to try this later on as I'd like to get pictures of the Banks and why are people so quick to judge this. You all have no idea how it affects PD If it affects their company at all. They have seperate divisions for Bug Testing the whole Team don't all work on one aspect that may slow their whole company down. Think outside of the box. (Quite Literally)

Fixed I think
I agree with you this glitch doesn't let you laps so no need to patch it and it will respawn you if you stay on the black bits too long (I did it on track night time)

Finally managed to...

I managed to get to a little bit of the 'half-ring' banked curve (after a lot of tries and resetting), and there is a sad news: no, you can't drive on it, you will go through it like it's invisible, so you can't test your car's top speed on it.

Unfortunately, a few seconds after managing to reach there, it resetted my car, so... sorry no pics for proof :(

But I managed to drive above the water at the inner side of the track anyway :D

Wow it really seems to be inspired by the Mercedes Test Track, the fact that those high banks exist is either a proof that PD was yet again forced to release something unfinished or they intended to bring out this variation of the track with a later update!

With update I mean update not DLC, anyway good job finding out! Can't be missused for lapping-cheat so I can't see anything wrong about it.

You can't drive on it because you didn't enter it properly, as in a ligitimate course. If/when PD decides to incorporate the extra bits of SSRX into the game proper, then all will be fixed. Remember the SSR7 glitch? Even though you were near actual driveable bits of the track, you couldn't get onto them once inside the glitch zone because you were "out of bounds". Same with this.
I say patience people, it's on it's way, just be patient and wait a bit for it and you'll be well rewarded in the end.

A little bit off topic here, but why is it always the R35 that needs to be used with these glitches? It was the same with the SSR7 glitch too.

Maybe it's deliberate! It is, after all, PD's favourite car! So it's not a bug; it's really just an Easter egg, right? "Godzilla" knows no boundaries!

Things like these, I don't understand why PD would go into the trouble of trying to fix it over and over again. They should just leave it alone and focus on other things.

Anyway, this is pretty cool stuff when you're bored, so I appreciate you guys sharing this stuff.

I love it when you guys find stuff like this! it's great fun to just go out and explore the out of bounds area!
Sod all you haters, It's actually really enjoyable driving around out of the map SSR7 was the funnest one though!!! driving along the top of the tunnel whilst watching 7 or 8 people blast through the tunnel below me.

There is a bridge on the left hand side of the track on the first straight. As far as I can see it has banked corners on it and the road cuts into the middle area. I think that it joins up with the steeply banked circuit at some point, but I haven't been able to get the glitch to work for me to check it out.
