Extra menus and cars obtained vs own question

I am wondering if in a future extra menu, you have obtained a car and you sell it, does count for the extra menu even if you don’t “own” the car?

In the collectors book stays obtained even if you sell it.

I know to the 3 Lemans cars trophy you have actually to own the 3 of them.

I selling tons of cars I don’t use in order to raise some credits I need.
