Hey guys just wanted ask after hrs of testing something I found out. Agin I race online NO tire wear and no aids except for ABS.. After the 2.07 update I found my cars off a little from the times the normally run. I treid springs sway bars and rideheight but didnt get no where then I messed with the dampers. Here is what I found out.. Using settings like 8/8 front and 8/8 rear. Or 4/4 front and 8/8 rear. Or 8/8 front and 4/4 rear or even 2/2 front and 2/2 rear gave me big time improvements?? I know the old saying thet the extension should be slightly higher than the compression is the way to like 6/4 front and 6/4 rear but doing this my times were slower. Spliting the 2 as in 2 different #s in the front and 2 different #s in the rear wasnt as fast. And it varied on each car some like 8/8 front and 4/4 rear while other 4/4 front and 8/8 rear. Heck one car was .8 seconds with the dampers 2/2 front and 2/2 rear vs haveing it set any other way.. I cant beleave that using some extreme setting helped that much and each car was different. All the cars did better times when I didnt split the compression and rebound #s.. Keeping same # on th front and keeping the sme # on the rear was better than any split. Does anyone else run extreme or way different damper settings online with RACE SOFTS and no tire wear than what the norm is. And just staying 6/6 front and 6/6 rear was slower than haveing them either on the high side or low side setting them just in the middle wasnt the best and splitting them like 6/4 front and 6/4 rear was slower. I use a BMW M3GTR and a 458 for my testing.. I keep it at around 525 to 550 pp so the engine isnt that big of a factor but I saw huge gains with damper settings way out of the norm for tuneing around here. Has anyone tried setting there dampers on the extreme sides and see if they get any gains without touching the rest of the car?? Just wanted to here everyones input but I test at Deep Forest and .8 to 1 second in damper settings is a huge gain per lap.. I would try 2/2 front and 2/2 rear. Then 8/8 front and 4/4 rear. Then 4/4 front and 8/8 rear and 8/8 front and 8/8 rear and one of those 4 settings is a faster lap time then setting them any other way. Hard thing is each car wanted a different one and it takes a good hr for each to try all those different ways so I was wondering has anyone else played with this or use extreme setting to get overall fastest lap time?? Thanks for any input guys.. Agin this is online in a room by myself with all aids off except ABS on racing softs and no tire wear..
