Extreme races did not unlock why?

Please help me. I have a problem advancing my GT4 file.
It tells me to do extreme races I need to get gold in all beginner and professional
races. Example: On a 5 track race I got gold on all tracks except track 4. I later came back and selected only track 4 and changed the silver to gold. If this caused my problem I think the game is mean and hates me. The only other thing I can think of is if I need a certain license. Am I the only one to have this problem. I looked and could not find anything posted about it. Please help me enjoy my GT4 game once again. WHATS GOING ON??
I am a newbie here and I love this site. Game on people!

You need to have completed 25% of the game to unlock it and have the IA license. The game pretty much tells you that.
 
No, you're thinking of the Endurance hall.

You must complete both Beginner and Professional Hall to continue.

You need to win every SINGLE RACES, and win all championship point-wise, all gold races are not obligatory for the championship.
 
when you look in your halls make sure you dont have a bronze in there....I did and it drove me crazy...on a old tv like mine the bronze is almost the same shade as gold
