Does anyone know the best tuning to win this event, or is there anyone around willing to share a car for a while ? I've been trying to win this, and what I don't understand is that all of the other cars are a lot faster than mine, which is crazy stupid as the CPU drives the same car :grumpy: I overtake the opponents in corners, on straight parts they overtake me and I don't know what the damn problem is.
 
Send me a fr, and I'll put up my NASCAR for you. I spent a few weeks trying to perfect my tune, and it has been shown to win with both a g27 wheel, and a ds3 controller by 2 different people. :)
 
You don't need a tune, but you definitely need to turn off all aids. There is one that is locked on (can't remember which one) unless you disable ABS. That aid kills your speed in the corners. Turn ABS off, thus killing the locked on aid, and it's much easier.

cant do that after the update though
 
If I remember well, i did this event some days ago and won without tuning. Just make sure you stay in slipstream than everything should go well 👍
Oh, and as already said I don't use any aid except the one thats locked. Try without aids, and it shouldn't be to hard.:)
 
If I remember, Indy wasn't a problem for me as you could overtake in the corners and get away, but I STILL haven't won the Daytona race (12th is my best!).

But that was ages ago and I gave up, won that particular event anyway on points. :P
 
The Assisted Stability Manager(ASM) is locked to being on in the Nascar since update 1.06 I think it was. It is the biggest load of Bull snot.
 
This can be won without tuning though. Slipstream from 2nd or third but hold back from taking first until a few corners from the finish line. The drafting is crazy in this game, it seems the AI will come into your slipstream on the straights no matter how far they are back.
 
For the Daytona event, set downforce to the lowest setting (I forget it off the top of my head), change the transmission so the max speed is 236 MPH, turn ABS off (If you can't, set it to 10), put on Soft tires, and lurk at the back of the pack for the race.

On Lap 8, make a charge to the start, aiming to take the lead on the back strech on lap 10. Then run in the middle of the track in turns 3-4 to block the other cars, and then drive with your mirror, and if any cars make a run at you while coming to the line, block them. They'll give you a push that should get you to the line first.


Also, compare you're engines HP to that of a new NASCAR COT. If it is lower then the new one, by a good 10-30 HP, overhaul the engine. If it's just 1-3 down, change your oil and try to deal with it the ebst you can.
 
Thanks for all the feedback I will try it. Now I at least know the technique, I didn't know that drafting would have such a big influence. Will let you know if it worked. :)
