The Civic vs. modified 99 Viper R/T 10 Same Viper that he raced
Ultimate sleeper!:eek::drool:👍

In case you couldn't tell...the race was done off the bottle for the Viper.;)

;)

But no one will care. Because it's not a "mad tyiite sports car bling bling y0!", just a fast econobox.

Now thats a rice I wouldn't mind owning! I love how there isn't much done to the looks of the car.

That Viper isn't to bad either. ;)

Yeah, I can already see it..."But it's still a Honda." "It's still fwd." Blah blah blah.

Yes, it is still a Honda. Yes, it is still fwd. Yes, it would rape any stock Viper out there.;)

I would trade my "mad tyiite sports car" for that Civic without even thinking twice about it.

eh. Nice list of mods and it probably produces a lot of power. Can't check the movie out at work, but try it whyen I get home. How does it turn?

The Video is pretty nice. It's a night video, but you can still clearly see what is going on, and it has good sound. They go from a 3rd gear roll because the Civic would spin like it was on ice from a stop. It's pretty much an even race.

But youre the dumb arse that thinks a 427 vette is weak
I dont mind those Civics, when theyre stock. Ya know, good for a young chick, old couples and mums driving to the store, school etc.

Still one prob. Its a pulla not a pusha

No, I don't think they're weak, I know they're weak. I've seen SRT-4's with like $100 bucks in mods pull faster times than your almighty American Muscle blah blah blah...

Yes, they are good for that, and so is every other car on the road.

Thats all a Civic is good for.

And times arent every thing. Remember this is 30 year old technology so their times wont be considered fast but you wont take that into consideration

Do you think the sound of a Neon will send kids running?

Oh...my...God. I've said like 3 times now that the 427 'Vette's times were IMPRESSIVE FOR THE 1960's! Can you not read, or something?!

No, and neither will the sound of a 427 Vette. Actually I can't really think of any car that would send kids running...

Fire up a vette, any model and anyone would get a fright.
You cannot compare todays cars times to a mid-late 60s vette.

Right on the money with the whole wrong wheel drive deal. As for the discussion going on right now. Put it into terms of money. The amount of money you need to put into a Civic to compare to the 427 Vette. Now take that money and put it into that 427 Vette. I am sure that Vette would desimate its previous time along with the Civic doing the same. On top of that, why would you want a car that just goes straight? A high powered Civic must be a fun car to drive, but you can't turn the thing. The Vette on the other hand was made to handle the amount of power you could tweak out of it. let alone 500 lbs of torque (aftermarket parts on the Vette) would twist a lot of car's frames today. A civic would snap an axle with it's horsepower around 300hp without an aftermarket axle. There are too many different things you could do with a car that you need to be as specific as possible about what you want it to do.

Example - I want a quarter mile car. This specific Civic would be an excellent choice to have.
Next thing you have to ask - How fast do you want it to go?
and then this one - How much Cash you got?

Uhh, I gurantee you that Civic can turn very well. The good thing about turbos is that you can go from having 500hp one second, and 150hp the next.;) Boost controllers are your friend.

Civic snapping an axle around 300hp? I find that really hard to believe.

First of all, I am sure you have been in a Civic before right? The problem with the turning lies here, You drop that car down to the 150hp or what-so-ever it has you lose boost in the car. Plus the amount of turbo lag that must be in this car because the fact it is made for real horsepower, it would come out of the turn really slow until that turbo picks up again. Boost controllers are your friend in this position, but when you drop that power in the turbo you gotta build that pressure back up. A supercharger in this case would be better for out of the turn, but not good in the turn. I also take it that you don't have too much experience with putting aftermarket parts on a civic, (I maybe wrong), but the axles that were designed for them were suppose to support somewhere around 200hp. Now that is an estimated number, but eventually if you haven't swapped them out with some aftermarket performance ones, you'll find yourself on the side of thee road like in the case of my buddies '96 integra that had 291hp on the dyno.

Damn. That is one sweet civic. But yeah, that car would be slow as crap off the line from a dead stop. 'Tis a pretty damn quick civic, though.

I dont like the exhaust on the viper.. Sounds like crap.

The Viper sounds absolutely terrible. Mostly at idle. Under WOT it doesn't sound nearly as bad.

From what I've heard that Civic runs 10.4's in the 1/4. At TX2K3 it blew a head gasket half way down the track, and coasted to a 12.3, or 12.5.

Dude, you poon, the Civic is what blew the head gasket.:odd:

Yes I'm banned, but I'm still here posting. Man, wtf is wrong with you?!:p

Haha. Shutup.

I meant, the damn car could have beaten most OTHER civics with its damn head gasket blowing half way down like that. Wtf is wrong with YOU, man!?
