I have just purchased this car and now I find that the only race it can be used in is ones made for it. My question is why is this there is no use for this car if it can not make money for me. Is there any races being planed to be added
in the main race menu? Thank You for your time.

This week's seasonal events require a ferrari F1 car. This event and online are the only races you can participate in :indiff:

You can also use either Ferrari F1 car in "practice mode" and race it in either Time Trial or the "one make race." The one make race(s) are quite fun when there is a full grid filled by Ferrari's :) Not a "money maker" that's for sure, just a "fun provider."

How do I select my F2007 for Seasonal #7?
My F2007 doesnt have the Change Car option, either Sell and Give.
When I press triangle on it, the options Change Car, Sell and Give are gray. (unselectable)
I can´t change oil, enter tuning shop, etc...
:scared:

bug?

Turn "share with friends" to the off setting. Cheers.

This seems kind of silly that you can use the gtf1 for other races but not the 2007 for which you have paid 12,500,00 dollars, buyers remorse anyone? I have got it.

No remorse at all... I've got the F1-2007 and the F60 and I love them both. A lot.

I'm hoping the F150 (which will change its name if Ford's case is succesful) will arrive as DLC!

Question for you guys, which of the 2 Ferrari F1's is the best to get? Gonna buy one tommorrow and would like peoples opinions as to which is the best or pros and cons of both. I'm aware of the racing restrictions with these cars too :)

F2007 handles better and accelerates a bit better, buy it if you can afford it (2.5m more expensive).

But on topic, the Ferrari F1s can't be used in normal races due to licensing issues.

You can not even sell it. Sorry but this gives me a lot of racing to do in order to buy other cars that are more usefull in the game. Just a bad deal for me.

Really? What's the point then. I thought if you can use a FGT, you can use the Ferraris too.

The point of getting the ferrari f1's is for the fun factor. I have both and they are amazingly fun. Ya there is only one event for it, but I practice with it a lot. It's just a great car to drive.

Thanks Ziptie!

F2010 has better aerodynamics
but F2007 has much smaller fuel tank

same weight, 2010 is better

I bought the F2007 because it's really lighter than the 2010. (faster)
I could't use it on endurance races anyway.

2010 is in my wishlist though!

For seasonal I changed the top speed to 340KPH.
Much more aggressive.

Which event is it? The Ferrari one?

They're like an FGT but worse...

FGT can be stronger, but isn't better handling due to worse aerodynamics

FGT's is based on a formula 1 2004

In 2004:
BMW's P83 3.0L engine used in 2003 season managed an impressive 19,200 rpm and cleared the 900 bhp (670 kW) mark and weighs less than 200 lb (91 kg).

From 2006:
The engines must be 90° V8 of 2.4 litres maximum capacity.
Toyota F1 announced an approximate 740 hp (552 kW) output at 19000 rpm for its new RVX-06 engine.

On seasonal, Indy Road Course I think 360KPH will be better, I havent done it yet.

They're not amazingly fun if you have to use them in Practice or Arcade. They would be more fun in A-Spec.

That's incorrect. The FGT has a V12 and if you read the "description" of the car in the game they reference all sorts of "techno gadgets" that they didn't allow in Formula 1 for quite some time by 2004... But some gadgets the FGT has, a 2004 era car did have.. Just sayin ;) the description feature on the game is quite cool sometimes, there is good info there.

Yes they are, unless "fun" is gettin money for a race win for you... If so, then it is understandable that it isn't fun for you. If you are attempting a race for the "fun" of a challenging race, what could be better than a full grid of identical cars? :indiff:

Ferrari F1 car is well worth the "driving experience." Great car to lap !

I had wondered about grinding to get one of the Ferrari F1 cars (I'm at nearly 7 million ATM) but forget it now.

I'm supposed to spend a minimum 10 million for one race series with stuff-all prize money that will only be available for two weeks, and after that can only be used in Practice or Arcade?

Sod that for a lark...

They should have done with this what they did with the Schwimvagen (sp?) - made a large prize pool purely to pay back the purchase price for a vehicle you'd be unlikely to use in other contexts.

More stupidity from PD...

true, V12 fades away from formula one at 90.
V10 ends in 2005
2006 V8 2.4 litres
2007 19k rpm limit
2009 18k rpm limit

FGT has a 2004 aerodynamics and a brutal motor.

I've playing FGT and F2007 and I do realized that the consumption of F2007 tyres and fuel are way better than FGT's.

Of course the handling too

Bought the F2010 and i think it's brilliant, possibly my favourite car of the whole game so far! Handling is great and around Indianapolis inner road circuit my times are less than 1 second of my FGT times but it handles so much better! Not bothered about using it to earn it's money back, the one make races in practice mode make for better racing than nearly every single A-spec event put together. As a bonus, i'm getting the F2007 on Monday as a trade !

I setup the rubber band/X2010 grind last night and woke up with more than enough money to buy the F2007. Plus I gained a crap load of XP to boot. If you want it, grind for it.

...which is better

The F2007 has more "grip" and seems to be a touch easier to drive than the F10. The F2007 is also a championship winning chassis(with Kimi Raikkonen) and was one of the last cars before the "bigger crackdown" on spending and technology..... 04/05 I think would have been the true "peak" in radical aero design. IMO

I'd get the F2007 first, but I do have both. They are both very very fun to drive(way more fun that the X1), but I certainly have more miles on my F2007 compared to my F10. The F2007 also revs slightly higher. Cheers.

EDIT: The F2007 seems to have a more "zoomed" view when inside the cockpit compared to the F10, but it doesn't look crappy or anything.
