for me beceause i don't like the way the f1 car "feels"...its too smooth,too....not gran turismo...

but he!!thats my opinion...lol.

spyrrari.

I took my F1 out for a spin. Its a bit boring its too fast and people just dont care whos infront they just go for pure win...

F1 car is crazy

F1 cars are just not fun to race with, too clinical 👎

They should put in the Nissan 350Z SuperGT that was in the GT-HD democlip

The car is amazing to drive, but basically it comes down to trying not to make a mistake while waiting for car in front of you to make a mistake. I can't imagine clean passes happening very often, especially not by me, so I don't even try. At least with the other races I can occasionally make a clean pass.

I like the F1 car and Suzuka combo as I have played the F1 series since 1997. But on the GT5:P online race at Suzuka It feels a bit dumb as the event turns into what the Monty Python troupe might call "the twit races". Racing the AI might be more satisfying as there is usually precious little human intelligence to be found online at Suzuka period.

I race today in F1 :) one on one, made a new friend. We were head to head!!
They need below 600 PP racing with PRO physics.

I second that. What happened to the SuperGT Z from the video clip or the other handful of cars from GT-HD (R32 GT-R etc)...

And why is the F1 race only permitted to use N1 tires, like when did this idea of using RACE TIRES on a RACE CAR become obsolete.

I actually love racing with the F2007. Def requires a few practice laps. I usually load the top ghost replay and try to get as close to the time as possible. on Suzuka i'm about 2 seconds from the top time. I too wish there were more people racing in this event.

I do agree, however, that the race is some what annoying. Too many people just trying to shove you off the road. its disappointing that so few racers online want to make it a fair race.

I wish PD would consider adding custom races or private races where the host sets the rules and Performance Points. And with the ability to kick unfair racers. I cant tell you how many times i'm holding the line, without stepping into a competitors lane, and get bumped off track. Sometimes this is unavoidable under breaking circumstances when traction is crucial. Many people dont understand the rules that govern fairness in motorsports. Nor do they realize that if your on someones tail, it is essential to break early in many situations and take a different line to avoid damage to your vehicle. Sure there is no damage in this game but in the real world, they'd be out of the race.

nobody likes the 2007 because its not your typical Gran Turismo car, as in the physics dont make it feel like a battleship on rollerskates

Haha, the F2007 handles better than the other cars(as it should, if it didn't I would be slightly worried...), but it also has a MUCH smaller margin of error than the other cars. With other cars I use at Suzuka(the Lotus Elise 111R being my personal favorite:sly:) you can make a small mistake even when you're on the edge, and keep it together without going off of the road. In the F2007, if you make even one mistake you're off the road, and you can't afford to take it easy or you'll have no grip and slide around on those N1 tires like there is no tomorrow.

I only race F2007.... we all have different taste in cars ....it is fine with me you guys don't race there .....it is not the place to be if you do not like it .....too fast ......Oh and passing is fantastic there ...you need two things ...brass ones and respect for the person you are passing ....

I love this race and car. It maybe easy to get around the track but, not quite so easy to get a competitive time. I also find punting is much less of an issue. Would like 16 player and 10 laps though. Have been spending most of my time on this event recently. Have not seen any GPT_'s there though. Love it, although I can understand why some would find it tricky.

I love the F1 and Suzuka. Been there online only once though. Been practicing a lot offline with the F1 and if you get the hang of it its'pretty damn impressive.
You got to give the real F1 drivers great respect doing their thing, and then considering we don't even to deal with the G-forces...
The G25 wheel loves the F1 Suzuka. The force feedback is awesome and gives the F1 that bit extra.
Downside is when you get back to a "normal" car on Suzuka. Then I need to get used or switch back to the normal physics. In order to get the feel back I have to race a few races to get back in top of the ranks, the first race i'm just flying off everywhere.

The F2007 bores me quite frankly, just gives no feel at all with a controller. I respect the machine and those who drive it well, but that doesn't make me enjoy it.

The Wheel brings F1 alive. As well the whole game! People that enjoy this game should really have a wheel for it.

I love the F2007 - it's got a great sound to it, but with a full grid on Suzuka, it can be a bit if a pain due to all the bumping and barging.

I tried it once on Fuji but when it got over a couple of hundred MPH the wheel was vibrating so much that it shook all the cartilage out of my elbows and I had to have my arms replaced :ouch:

I did 30 laps in the F1 car at Fuji against the AI, and that was really fun, but with FF on 10 my arm was hurting by the end of the 39'49.28 run. But I am telling you, it was good fun! :D

I remember that Monty Python sketch, it was called "upper class twit of the year" brilliant

I just bought my F2007 last night and I tried it a few laps at Suzuka and Daytona. It shakes like crazy in a straight line because of the ridiculous toe-out.

I tried a toe setting of +0.01 F/R at Daytona and it shakes alot less. I don't know what that will do to the cornering at Suzuka/Fuji.

I think the F1 car is the essence of Gran Turismo and racing in general. If you get accustomed to the car (which only takes like 20 min really) you can easily learn how to push the limits of the car, and push more and more and before you know it you trimmed over a second by T1 at Suzuka. For me Gran Turismo is all about finding out how Hugo gets to be so damned fast and its all about threading the needle, how to get better exit speed and stay a few more mph faster in a turn. The F1 is designed to let us do that more easily than other cars imo. I love the F1 Suzuka combo, but I haven't raced anyone that can keep it on the pavement :indiff: yet....

I really like this event! Interesting circuit and a F1 car to explore the limits!
You just need to survive two or three turns - all the bumpers will be far away by that time. And you can race cleanly with others.

whats hard about this event is that if you make 1 mistake, they get about 10 to 20 seconds ahead of you, its really hard to recover from that, and they are really crazy to drive, i cant drive a regular car that well after driving the f1 car

Sometimes it's difficult to recover but hey - all people can make mistakes !
And it's challenging to be concentrated during all race especially when somebody is on your tail or vice versa.

I race at Suzuka ...4 races ...several times a day ...... then go to HSR and cool down, because my arms are like rubber. I do not understand the fellow who said he has yet to see someone stay on the track everytime I race at least 1 or 2 cars or running in the 10.40"s and are glued to the track

The F1 cars are very mentally & physically demanding, you cant run a race in those things unless your focused and mean buisness. One day I'm gonna be ready for you in F1 car tedsleds:)

LOL... yes, first time I tried it with my G25 with FF set (as usual) to 10 it nearly ripped my arms out of their sockets. Turned down to 1 it's managable.

Personally, I don't find it enjoyable to drive.
