So a new rule change to encourage overtaking means that cars will now sport smaller rear wings and hideously oversized front wings.

Will this work? I suspect the number of pits stops for front wing changes due to contact with another car during overtaking is going to be high!

1st race prediction 5 new wings fitted after lap 1, 3 more during the race

Now that wins are the only thing that matters, I expect more first corner suicide dives and just more broken bits in general.
But yeah, the size of the front wings will definitely play a factor in the first corner, the Red Bull drivers will be ok though ;)

Didn't someone post a comparison of two photos during testing in the rain, one of the old configs (on a TR iirc) and the new configs, and the drag on the new configs was a lot less. Going on that basis, I'm hopeful. Though, this season is just going to completely turn everything we know. I cannot predict who will win, or who will challenge. Going on testing you'd say Rubens and Jenson have a chance...but that just seems...wrong. We just don't know.

Way late man...way late.

I have no idea about the science involved and the benefits the new wing designs may bring I just think something will get broken, often.

I certainly do hope it will provide a better spectacle but not for the wrong reasons. It has been a detracting factor of F1 for too long now that something other than the racing seems to dictate the results, I want to see some racing, good clean and fast! (oh and to hear 'the Chain' again).

Well, it was fun to watch and yes, I may have been slightly out in my assumptions!

The drivers are and will always be hot blooded racers who, on the change of a light colour will inevitably change from the cool customers they pretend to be off track into victor monkeys at any cost.

I was pleased to see the new rules actually made for more interesting racing, it's a shame the FIA won't leave it at that.
