All the officially licensed cars for the 2009 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: Whichever FORMULA ONE team you follow they will be present, fully licensed and fully playable in F1 2009 from FERRARI and MCLAREN to the all new BRAWN GP team
All the tracks for the 2009 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: Take to the tarmac on all 17 2009 season tracks, including Monaco, the Singapore night race and the all new 2009 FORMULA ONE ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX, all realised in meticulous detail
GRAND PRIX Weekend: Get the full race weekend experience, including practice sessions, qualifying and race day or jump straight into a Quick Race. The choice is yours
Ad hoc co-operative and head-to-head multiplayer: Go wheel to wheel with up to three friends in a quick race or alternatively take on the two player challenges or an entire season in co-operative mode
Bite-sized challenges: Take on a host of quick play challenges that will test your driving skills - ideal for a wait at the bus stop
Vehicle Damage: F1 2009's realistic damage model accurately simulates the dramatic effects of mid-race collisions
KERS integration: New boost system fully useable in-game, plus aero-dynamic changes incorporated to make 2009 the most exciting FORMULA ONE season and game ever
Full grid: Experience all the thrills of race day as you jostle for position at breakneck speeds against the full grid of 20 cars
Pit stops: Full pit-stop integration allows you to alter your strategy mid-race to refuel and repair damage incurred
Pit Radio: Your team provides vital race information and strategic advice over the radio as you drive your way to the front of the pack
Driver Aids: Match the games difficulty to your driving skill. Novices can learn how to play with extensive use of the driver aids while experienced players can turn these off to enjoy a more realistic driving experience.

Other additions I hope are in the game would be that weren't in F12005 or F12006: Fuel and Tire Grip gauges, Parade lap, Better Pit Stops, More modes such as Scenario mode, More unlockables - cars from every decade of Formula 1 etc. Hopefully some of these will be implemented

Graphics look rather poor even for the PSP.

Those two pictures of the game play were displayed a long time ago. No one yet knows which system they were from nor how far on in the development they were taken. I would be very surprised if that were the final products graphics.

This game, GT mobile and the new PSP Go are seriously making me think of buying a PSP. But I still think the price is a bit too steep to justify my usage.

PSP GO - £199 in Tesco
Gt Mobile - £24.99 (probably)
F12009 - £18 on Amazon

The two games IMO are pretty cheap but the GO is absolutely ludacris even with £50 off in Tesco. I'll be fine with my PSP Slim!

I've had this on my list for a long time now. I will get it. I'm going to get some PSP screenshots for you guys.

EDIT: Quoting myself from the F1 2009 thread in the PS3 forum

Fresh batch of screenshots from Codemasters:

You can't accuse Codemasters of making bullshots...

GT Mobile
Little Big Planet PSP
Motorstorm
F12009
Dirt 2
Socom 3
Army of Two
etc

Why do so many good PSP games have to come out so close to each other...

Those are good graphics, for a PSP game. Codemasters did a great job with perfecting the liveries.

No, there are pretty bad. PS1 quality.

Why could PD GT4 quality graphics and Codemasters didn't? And perfecting the liveries is somewhat easier than the graphics.

To be fair on Codemasters here, they're only publishing the game, Sumo Digital has developed the game. So blame them! :p

yes, SUMO is known for its REALLY CRAPPY portage... unfortunately (Dirt and F12009 will be really awful on the PSP) - just look at the Ferrari screen then look at the GT video from gamescom09 with the Ferrari F1: what a shame, PD really kills F1 2009.

True, and GT is an all rounder, while this is completely dedicated to F1, they would have more space for graphics.

 they have similar graphics, SUMO has failed graphically, but those features sound nice. It has online, the only thing wrong with F1 2006.

Here's an actual gameplay video,

What were the pit stops like in F1 2006? I've only played the first F1 PSP game and the pit stops were just button smashing - pressing X really quickly. That's my main criticism I want fixed.

F106 pitstops was exactly like F1:CE is, pressing different buttons for different actions.

Well, the game is out now ,and there are gameplay videos, and I think I like it. It's on my list for sure.

A few screenshots(note: game looks much better in motion):

Anyone who has this can you tell us what you think of it?

That looks pretty horrible! It looks like the backend is sliding out all the time because the way the wheels move even at the slightest turn of the wheel.

Think I'll stick to Formula One 1995 for now.

That seems to be the only problem with this game ,a big problem from what I hear from the youtube commentors and game reviewers. The cars are very twitchy and oversteer, but apart from that and that the graphics could use improvement, it's a great game.

Guys, I just picked this up today, and after playing it all day, it's actually a good game. Ignore the bigscreen youtube videos, it has great graphics with occasional frame rate drops, and although the physics may not be top notch, they're good enough. I really recommend this game. It does not have an online multiplayer, but it is Ad-Hoc Party compatible, so if you have a PS3, have fun online. I'm off to play some more :D

You still play this game PJ-FFL?

I'm really considering on getting this game. I decided not to get the F1:CE for the PS3 because it doesn't have Spa.

So is this game worth it still?

I got the psp version. I played less than 1 hour. If you have GTpsp, you will not like this. But hey that is my opinion.

I played it for a few days, haven't played it in months because it's somewhere at my dad's house. It's pretty fun, but is very unrealistic. If you just want to have fun, go ahead. If you are a serious F1 sim player, you're in for a big disappointment. It doesn't have online multiplayer though, it's adhoc only.

I'm not sure Ludacris approves of your usage of his name.

Just got it! I just tried Spa and Monaco and I can just say that I love this game. I'm impressed so far.

I was wondering if any of you guys want to start a Wii/PSP F1 time trial thread? Anyone up for it?
