f1-25-2026-season-pack-releases-june-3rd-includes-madring-v0-fvli7e732x1h1.png

June 3 release. Hopefully the Madring is better to drive than it looks on film. Should be interesting to see how they've implemented the new regs, which the critics say are like a game anyway.
I think its going to be a tough sell. With the new regs its like offering up a downgrade for cash, there will be those folks who like the strategy of harvesting and deploying energy though. I think I can wait for the new regs to kick in if they decide to pivot away from the current engine style. Im pretty sure big oil wants less electric...

Part of me wonders if these concerns helped solidify a change of tactics for this season.

I don't however think it will be a hugely tough sell because ultimately the F1 fanbase want the latest cars and drivers in the game. The make or break with this pack therefore will be the cost of it.

Yeah the cost might be a deal breaker, for me this a black friday sale type consideration if at all (Ive tons of F1 iterations). Thing is is it that enticing to the F1 fanbase though? certainly there is a lot of folks riled by the new regs including some drivers. Granted there are more overtakes, but the value of an overtake has been diminished (its more deploy to win than brinkmanship now), qualifying is not quite as on the edge either this year. They could sweeten the deal with more historic tracks thrown in, but how likely is that...

Historic stuff is zero chance. I think the fanbase has interest if the price is right. But with the rule tweaks providing already better qualifying and racing in Miami, there's a chance it could spark a little bit of a resurgence in interest.

Time will tell though, and I think 95% of it's success will be in the cost.

If you already own F1 25, the 2026 Season Pack lets you step straight into the 2026 season with updated teams, drivers, and regulations.

If you haven't played F1 25, or if you’re new to the sport, the F1 25: 2026 Season Edition gives you everything in one place. It combines the F1 25 base game with the 2026 content, making it the ultimate racing experience.

Once you’re on track, the biggest difference comes from how the cars handle.

You’ll be driving a new generation of Formula 1 cars that are lighter, smaller, and more responsive. That responsiveness gives you more control, but it also asks more from you as a driver.

With active aerodynamics, you can adjust your front and rear wings as you race, helping you balance speed and grip corner by corner. It’s something you’ll feel immediately, especially as conditions change or as you push to stay competitive.

In Overtake Mode, you’ll experience a significant power boost of nearly 500 horsepower. Timing becomes everything, whether you’re lining up a move down a straight or defending your position in a close battle. Use it well and you gain the advantage, use it at the wrong moment and you leave yourself open.

The 2026 season also introduces MADRING, a brand-new circuit in Madrid, available only in the F1® 25: 2026 Season Pack and can only be driven with the 2026 cars.

As you learn this track, you’ll find a mix of high-speed sections and technical corners across its 5.4 km layout. The MADRING circuit is only available to drive with the 2026 cars, as this track was designed specifically for the new season. Prepare to be challenged in this hybrid street and purpose-built track.

††Custom teams and career saves from the 2025 season do not transfer to 2026 season. Konnersport or APXGP teams cannot be added to the 2026 season of Driver Career or My Team.

bummer.

Also says on Steam that Madring can only be driven with 2026 cars.

I’m interested in seeing whether they’ve captured the really ill-balanced regs of the early season with yo-yo racing and massive speed disparity between cars due to battery levels, or the slightly improved version of the last two or three races.

To be honest, coming off a corner and onto a straight with a 1.5 second advantage over the car behind then finding them immediately right up your arse due to a massive straightline speed disparity, they could have just reused the code from F1 2019.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

F1 25: 2026 Season Pack Out Now with New Madring Circuit

Back in November, EA confirmed it was skipping a brand-new F1 game for 2026 and folding the new season into the existing F1 25 as a paid expansion instead. That expansion has finally arrived: the F1 25: 2026 Season Pack is available today on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC...

Comprehensive article @Jordan but where's the puns...? ;)

The price points for the new add on and the "complete" edition of the game are both pretty reasonable, so hopefully this will sell well.

EA's current F1 games covers are so cringe. I miss the F1 06 and Championship Edition style, cars front and center, blasting pure high-speed adrenaline. Now we just get drivers in ridiculous, forced poses.

That's not a game thing. It's straight from the TV broadcast intro.

Cover stars in sports games have been a thing for literally decades, the drivers are after all, the stars of the show. I think the old covers don't actually hold up very well, the car models lack detail and texture.

Peak F1 game covers are F1 '99, F1 '04 and F1 2010/2011.
