Good luck with this one.
Don't the teams need to unanimously agree to rule changes?
Good luck with this one.
What he clearly is saying is the Formula one Car doesn't Apply to a GP2 Car.What is that supposed to mean? Who were you addressing?
That's just how a "formula" works![]()
What he clearly is saying is the Formula one Car doesn't Apply to a GP2 Car.
But if it was allowed im sure the term for what defines a Formula 1 car would obviously be changed.
because having spec cars is exactly not F1, since day 1.
Fair enough but it's subjective. It wasn't clear; he quoted a rule and wished somebody (who he didn't name) luck with it. It's obvious that the F1 technical regs change year on year so I find it unclear what he meant.
As much as I wish it was True saying Indycar is successful is far from the truth, and its most succesful period(90s) was when it was much more Open Regulated and not spec.I have to agree. I think there are three types of motorsport; stock, spec and prototype. Formula racing at the top level has always been pure proto... if F1 changed to become a spec series I think it would lose a lot of fans. I also think it would gain
quite a few - after all Indy is a very successful - but to me it just wouldn't be Formula any more.
What is that supposed to mean? Who were you addressing?

The unlikelihood of a 2 tier 2015 Championship.
Nobody in particular, anybody with interest in this thread.
This is Formula One.
Preface your comments with "In a world where ..." and you will see what he means. What is that supposed to mean?
The only way I could agree to 3-car teams is if 1 seat is set aside for "academy" drivers or GP2/FR3.5 graduates...
- A team's 3rd driver might be waiting a while for a promotion.
- If a slot for 1st/2nd driver opens up at one of the other teams, does it go to their third driver or will they get effectively skipped for someone from another team?
- Maybe this is less of a problem if you don't like Red Bull potentially having some rear gunners, but I suppose this will mean the end for Toro Rosso.
- A 3rd seat could still be sold to a pay driver, e.g. Max Chilton.
