F1 car tires/oil limitations

who else here got the god damn lavender and white f1 car? who the hell at polyphony decided one of the f1 cars would be LAVENDER?

im gonna run nurb again so i can maybe get a halfway decent color.
 
Those colors and kinda nasty, with the exception of the black one....at least they get to choose theirs???

I don't know why people can't grasp the fact that the cars are based on Formula One cars, but they are. If you think they are based on Indy cars, or Champcars, then you obviously don't know a single thing about open-wheel racing, and cannot distinguish between the three different variants.
Firstly, they are running on Bridgestone Potenza's (albeit, not grooved) and what other series runs on them? Champcars, and the car in GT4 certainly isn't Champcar based).
You can just look at them, and know they are based on Formula One cars, not anything else. Even the power output is (albeit, a little less than 2004 figures) what Formula One cars produce.
Thirdly, they're called FORMULA Gran Turismo, not Champ Gran Turismo, or Indy Gran Turismo, but FORMULA Gran Turismo.

I'm sorry, but this just really gets to be annoying after post after post, and people ignoring the facts.
Anyone who thinks they are anything BUT based on Formula One cars know nothing about open-wheel racing, and cannot distinguish the difference between F1, CART, or IRL cars.

Yeah I'd have to agree with that, including me. I stopped paying attention to anything except F1. I think the other series and cars are lame. But that's just me and what I like.

Stupid question: Since they carried so many cars over from GT3, why couldn't they have included the GT3 F1s, and called it a "Classic Formula" class or something?

This single F1 thing really sucks. Another car list quirk from our good ol' PD guys. Could it be that Kaz and Company have lost interest in Formula One now that Japanese engines are no longer dominant?

Japanese engine no longer dominant? Yes and No as we all know ferrari has been the team to beat over the past years but who came in second last year? BAR Honda. Now this year them and toyota looked to have some issues hopfully they can take car of that cause Sato and button proved they can take the fight to ferrari. Also the F1 looks to be 04 spec based correct? The rear wing sitting so far back the front one not having as big of a dip as most this year. just my 2 cents i got the blue btw.

Lol fight Ferrari? Check the championship results again please, they where the best behind Ferrari and could get near the Ferrari's if they where pushing and Ferrari was calm.

I think it looks like an Ferrari 2004 with an blownup nose con., and a other front wing.
 
I know nobody has been able to challenge them day in and day out but they were around the front. Kina like Mclaren at Spa last year and all the track the year b4. Can't wait till Schumacher retires. Don't get me wrong the man is a GREAT driver. You don't just win races b/c of a car u have to be able to drive that car. But when he does u can't agure that it won't be open season for the champsionchip. Who do u think will fill his spot on retirement *rumore mill has him retiring this year if he wins championship again* I know there was talk of Alonso taking his spot.

Schumacher and Barrichello toghether with the team create the car, from what i ahve seen the cars devolpment went straight down wen Schumi broke his bone in Silverstone 1999

As for the retirement i think nobody can replace Schumi, i think it will last 50 or more years till we see a driver like this again.

Only in the Asian versions, the people asking are playing the US or PAL versions, in thoes you win the Sauber C9 for the Formula GT series not the balck F1 car.
 
Mine says it too, as does everyones. It's nothing more than a discrepency between hp and bhp, much like in the garage.

Man that stinks, you spend all that time getting the car and it looks like a flower. Mine is blue and white. It's not bad looking, but I want a black one.

Heel yea its possible , this is when you have A Ferrari F1 engine.

The Ferrari F2005 engine is already possible to get 3 races, where only 2 races are needed in 2005. And knowing they push $400 000 000 in a F1 team, the F2006 can sertenly do a whole season if they want.

I didnt think the F2006 was even out yet. Im prettly sure they are having lots of trouble with the F2005. Unless its still in testing they havent ever put it in an actual F1 race.

I wouldnt think sony has exclusive F1 rights. Its a racing game that ranges from cars sold at the local dealer to high-end racers. I think that there has to be something going on, as in, somebody has a problem mixing F1 with street cars.

Sony also doesnt get EVERY license, unless they dont even try to get licenses from high-end sport car (ferarri) dealers.

I'm dissapointed there isnt more option with GT4's F1 selection, but its not an F1 game so what can you really expect?

i have my own Q's, why are the exhuast vents on the side of the car closed? and the color choices look rather familiar, white and blue is williams, red is ferrari, silver and black mclearen, black and orange was manardi's, the yellow and black is jordangreen and yellow was Jaguar, so could they be trying to replicate without the name?????????????
