I'm using a DFP and FFB strength is set to 4. I just started driving the Ferrari F10 and I'm feeling muscle burn by the 9th lap. Is that norma, are these f1 races really physically demanding or am I really that out of shape? I think I'm burning calories playing this game. :)

I learned once you stop fighting the car this will go away. Get smooth and you won't have an issue.

you're not out of shape, you just need to get your arms used to it a bit more :]

I warm up every night with one of the F1 Seasonals - My DFGT is usually on 7 so by lap 8 I'm definitely feeling a little of something up in my shoulders

I enjoy it lol

x2

I was fighting the wheel and pedals on Tokyo to get the car to turn. By lap 10 was able to smoothly lap with little braking much better lines. Avoid the curbs.

If you are fighting the car, you are driving it wrong.

I press select-R3-left paddle to cut the FFB strength in half whenever I drive an open-wheeler.

Im just having a nightmare with the Nürburgring GP race got to lap number 8 and was clear in first place. then i hit a curb and span out. Was furious with myself. Now i cant seem to string enough clean laps together to complete the challenge.

Oh come on, these challenges are easy. In fact, the only challenging race left in the game for me is the X2010 Vettel.

Your out of shape. Those races were easy.

G27 here, FFB on 10 with the only "aid" being ABS 1. Agree for sure, it's a "workout" and I love every bit of it !!! :)

You know that doesn't cut FFB strength in half, that switches from 900 degree to 200 degree mode.

That said, I drive the F1 cars and the X1 like that. Its an accurate steering sim for those types of cars.

I'm definietly not feeling any sort of muscle burn when doing these races, Using a G27 with the ffb set to 10.

I just run with my FFB at the lowest setting on my DFGT. The wheel shake you get in the F10 and x1 is so annoying.

I doubt anyone is remotely interested in how awesome you think you are.

I love the F1 races so much. I really don't understand why they chose to use the FGT in the A-Spec races instead of this, simply stellar, machine.

My thumb gets more mucular every 12 th place I achieve ,,still was worth 10 mil credits ..

so the serious vibration through my dfgt and on my screen are normal when driving the F10?

i wish there was more races for F1 cars in a spec mode

Its like this driving real race cars, the problem is there is no way to work out the muscles that get used when driving a race car, or even kart for that matter.
When Nelson Piquet Junior drove the SKUSA SuperNationals in a KZ2 he got out of the kart and said it was the hardest race he'd ever driven, this coming from a guy who can race an F1 car for two hours at a time.

The only way to build these muscles is by driving the cars, so practice is all you can do.

There are actually many exercises you can do to work these muscles out. Check out the book "Fit for Motorsport" by Dr R.S.Jutley Its a good read.

Select-R3-RIGHT paddle is the one you're thinking about.

Its alright its a good challenge

I use the F2007 on Suzuka for grinding. A little over 2hrs hours a night around 8 races, 1,640,000cr/352,000xp. I am using the DFGT on 10 ffb. It's just not the same as my T500. But will have to do till TM get's me a new one. Oh and if you are getting sore from driving then you ain't doing something right.

no muscle burn, but i was sweating like a criminal under a bright light....lol

they are pretty intense races in my opinion.

i love this event so much
Suzuka with F10, i was 25 seconds behind (because i spun out 3 times on first lap) and every lap i came back 2-3 seconds and eventually won by 1.3 seconds, but its not worth doing for the amount of money on offer.
You send 10 mill on a car for 100k race .... at least make it 500k or even 1m :)

Do you work out?

If not then this would be the cause of this burning.Normally when you work out your body releases Lactic Acid to help with endurance.Your body can only put put out so much(during intense exercise or intense racing :) ) and it usually only lasts between an 1 to 1 1/2 hours. This is all completely natural and doesn't mean that you are out of shape it just means your body is helping you out.

You should have bought the F2007, it's a better car. The payout on Suzuka is 205,000cr/44,000xp. Well worth the 15 minute drive. The best payout/time spent in the game as a matter of fact. Go back and do it again, get your info right.

these events are the best thing since sliced bread imo

that along with this thread makes me want to go buy the nicest s-wheel + playseat setup

well actually i have the F2007 aswell but i havent used it... im waiting till i get bored of the F10 which is impossible :)

well i didn't really experience it with the F1 challenges.. but the X1 really kills me everytime.. i can't seem to drive a freaking straight line because my wheel just goes out of control if i don't have it firmly in my hands as if i'm trying to choke someone...
I'm using the DFGT and i really don't have this problem with any other car even the F1.
