Right 3 races this month, Europe, Spain and of course, Monaco. Pretty wide range of good drives from the races, but who stands out for you?

I voted david coulthard because i would was quite supprised that RBR could make it to the podium. Not that the other driver's performances were bad but what david did stands out among the others.

Mark webber was pretty good too if it wasnt for his unreliable car

DC did have a nice last race, but I think this month it goes to Rubens Barrichello. He hasn't started lower than 5th on the grid (sure, some drivers were dropped places for various infractions and that helped a bit) and at the start of the month, he had 2 points to Button's 13. In the three races, he closed the gap to 3 points, 16 to 13. I think thats a good performance in a car which some people think is not as good as it should be.

I’m torn between Alonso, Räikkönen, and Webber. I’ll make a vote in a few hours, I think.

I voted Barrichello practially for the same reasons as fatman earlier. He has closed the gap on Button in a car he has struggled to get to grips with. He drove a nice, controlled race at Monaco and I think he hopes will be high at Silverstone, a track he has always done well at. 👍

I voted for Webber. I was very impressed by his effort at Monaco. Too bad about his cars reliability. :indiff:

I’m trying to find reasons not to vote for Alonso, but I can’t. I can’t think of anything that he’s really done wrong. Almost perfect. He gets my vote.

I voted for MS this month, for being such an ass on saturday and for having the "guts" to pull a stunt like that (if he did it on purpose ofcourse).

It's not my intention to start this discussion all over again. Please, if someone want to say something about that, go to the Monaco thread :) .

There's me about to ask Bee if there's any 'prize' for voting MS.

I still feel ripped off after the Ide offer.

It's got to be Alonso, he doesn't seem to have an unbeatable car behind him (Fisichella isn't exactly finishing on the podium every race, unlike Barrichello in the Ferrari days), but he certainly drives well and has a good team.

I loved how Alonso described his strategy at Monaco after the race, when he was holding Kimi while saving his tires to push harder near the pitstops. His moves often seem to be precisely planned.

Looking at the poll, I'm wondering, why aren't there more "kimi" fans???

1° Alonso
2° MS
3° Kimi, Barichello, Coulthard

My votes were a toss up between Webber and Raikkonen. Webber did a great job at Monaco but I had to give this one to Kimi. I just feel that he has pushed his car harder than others would and although it all went bad for him at Monaco, I just feel he's going to be up there soon...hopefully.

yeah i feel bad for everyone who had car troubles. :( freaky thing is... as i was watching the race i was thinking. "i'm suprized none of the redbull engines have quit yet" then all of the sudden a red bull f1 car pulls into the pits and retires.

My vote goes to Rubinho. We can see he's finally getting along with his car and improved a lot in the last month. In Monaco he did a great job holding the fastest cars behind him for most of the race, too bad he got the drive-through penalty otherwise he would go to the podium.

Still, I believe he's happier now than he was in Ferrari on the last couple of years.

That's obvious. It's almost impossible to pass another car at Monaco. :)

Almost. But MS, Fisi and other pilots managed to do it last sunday. MS even tried to overtake him in the last lap after the tunnel but Rubens didn't let him. Experience counts in these situations.

I remember. I was glad that Rubens stayed in front of MS.

MS he owned in europe and monaco, but was bent over by alonso in spain, but alonso wasn't that great in monaco, the r26 is a beast in the tourque area and i expexted them renault to have a better show there then ferrari and everyone else

The best drivers of May 06 are clearly both the Minardi drivers, have you seen the way they drive, if only they were a few minuites faster a lap they'd win

i felt bad for kimi and webber. i'm sure the whole team feels like crap after losing like that. poor mechanics probably havent been able to sleep

I vote Kimi. MS and Alonso are great drivers in superior machines. Get Kimi a reliable ride and we'll see what happens.

I still think Alonso is superior than Kimi in most aspects and, if they had the same car, Kimi would be beaten so bad... Despite what you Kimi fans think....
